Vedren01 Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 Ok guys I'm trying to make a patch for this mod.... https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/13023 Alot of folks use it but it has issues... Some are easy to fix such as the stiletto heels (college boots) using the calf and foot slots thus making a gap where the whole lower part of the leg should be. I've fixed that issues by making the shoes use only the feet slot. My issue arises when I try to fix the many robes it adds most necromancer robes and warlock robes have gaps at the wrists and the ankles... large ones like part of the body mesh is missing but not large enough to be using more slots than it should. I check anyhow in the CK and they are fine as far as slots go. To be clear parts of the underlying body are missing not things from the robes themselves...To investigate I open the robes in outfit studio and the body is fine there... I open them in nifscope and the body is fine there so as a last resort I open the outfit in 3dsMax and import the hands as well just to double check and there is no gap there either... So in my googling and poking around the web I found a tutorial on skin partitions and how they affect the mesh and may make the mesh invisible and what not, but that isnt my issue... as you can see from the screen below he has highlighted the partitions, these must be present on every body and they are on CBBE as well but what got me was it is these partitions that are invisible ingame (the stuff highlighted in red mesh) They show in every program i open the meshes in EXCEPT the game its self.... So any Ideas why the skin partitions on the body (which all armors are based on) would be rendered invisible in game and maybe how to fix the issue?
Vedren01 Posted May 27, 2019 Author Posted May 27, 2019 Ok so upon closer inspection of a robe with socks and sleeves it appears that in fact part of the clothing is missing (for an unknown reason) as well as the gap in the body. Ingame ... as you can see they are straight crisp edges but that isnt what the nif shows.... Here is the nif in nifscope.... notice how the sleeves are longer and have a flared cuff area and the sock are drawn tight as to hide the bottom edge in the leg I even thought maybe they had accidentally alpha'd out those areas on the mesh but ... this one uses the vanilla textures which dont include an alpha and one is not mentioned in the nif either... This is driving me crazy! 1
Antifapup Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 I just encountered this in my own game. I found it on the wrists of both male and female characters wearing necromancer's robes. I've never really had to pay attention to the Bodyslide or anything else, mostly been a plug and play process. If you found the issue for this I could use the help. Incidentally, if anyone could explain what the deal is with bodyslide batch building is.. I'm new to it and kinda scared.

I'm new to it and kinda scared. regarding the batch building, it is a massive time saver. It will build all your selected outfits for the selected body. Any BodySlide tutorial video would cover the topic at least briefly. You'll probably get a pop-up with question regarding either physics or alternative designs for outfits that have those options. For the physics, select the physics type you're using (or the generic, non-physics selection if you don't want physics on the outfit). For alternate look, there are some outfit mods that have different designs for the same outfit piece. For example, I have a mod that has a female "heel" and "flat" version of certain boots. If you choose "heel", they'll all have heels. I have another that uses a "prisoner outfit A" and "prisoner outfit B", one is normal and the other torn or has holes. If that's not what you're asking then let me know. I'm just a basic BodySlide user, so if it's complex maybe someone more knowledgeable than I can answer. Edited July 7, 2022 by ttts1

I am more familiar editing the 3BA body. Whats going on is Skyrim uses three Body slots to load the base body. If all three of those slots are not present in the "Armor" and "Armor Addon" Inside the mod's ESP, the whole body will not load. You could fix this by edited the ESP and adding the Slot "38 Calves" to the "Armor" and "Armor Addon" OR, in Outfit Studio by removing the "Partitions" 38 Calves and 34 Forearms. Spoiler 1
