a.madeus61 Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 One, two understanding questions to Bodyslide;) I am familiar with the basic work with Bodyslide. I can make an armor change or change a body. Which is not clear to me. Now I want to change the look of the body of a particular follower. Only from this follower! If I change the sliders in Bodyslider, that affects ALL NPCs in the game. As an example, I want to change Bea's body. Lets say she should get thicker arms, narrower hips and more muscular legs.https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/25653 When I do that, all CBBE bodies change in the game. I do not want that. The change should only affect Bea. In BodySlide I set the outfit/body, find a preset, change it to my liking, save it ... And now? How can I make the changes affect Bea only? What must I do, how can I proceed? Do I have to create a new body especially for Bea only? The same is with armor. If I change armor, everyone changes. Or I have to find an armor that only exists once. Questions, questions, questions.... I would really appreciate any help.
YourFriendlyDragonborn Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 Now I am no expert, but will share what I know. First, I am MO user, so this technique might not work with vortex or nmm. Also for the mod you have given as an example has different folders for body textures and meshes, but no folder for armor textures and meshes. In fact, the mod author does not include armor from screenshot in mod pack, he uses this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/70376?tab=files So if you don't mind keeping that outfit reserved for only the follower, follow these steps (if you use MO): 1. Install the follower and armor mod (make sure to download CBBE version of follower and Bodyslide files of armor from misc. section. 2. Open bodyslide and generate the above outfit and female body (CBBE or CBBE HDT, your choice) using the preset of your choice. Don't do "create mod" in MO. I dont use cbbe, so i cant say about hand and feet, but if they are available generate them too. 3. Go to overwrite folder in MO install folder and copy these files: femalebody.tri femalebody_0.nif femalebody_1.nif femalefeet.tri femalefeet_0.nif femalefeet_1.nif femalehands.tri femalehands_0.nif femalehands_1.nif whatever is available. these files are in overwrite/meshes/actors/character/character assets 4. Copy these files to mods/(bea follower mod folder)/meshes/actors/character/Cute Bea Follower/Body/. Make sure you overwrite existing files. 5. Create the mod for armor mod. 6. Done! Your follower has now custom body. And since armor is unique, consider it exclusive to her too. Now if you use nmm or vortex, you can do the following: 1. Install MO and remember its install location. 2. Install Bodyslide and Outfit Studio. Make sure you choose CBBE options only. 3. Repeat above steps 2 to 3 4. Paste these files in /(skyrim install folder)/Data/meshes/actors/character/Cute Bea Follower/Body/. Remember to overwrite. 5. Install the armor mod through nmm 6. Generate the armor mod from bodyslide in nmm 7. Done! Let me know if any problem persists.
YourFriendlyDragonborn Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 Remember to check the file tree of any mod you install. if it has separate folders for armors and body, you can have them unique and custom for follower.
a.madeus61 Posted May 28, 2019 Author Posted May 28, 2019 Thanks for the help! I have Vortex, so I will not install a second ModManager. So I have try out what you say, but copy and paste with hand. It works. But that is a complicated way. If you are not satisfied you have to do everything again.I thought there was an easier way. Like this follower, Hororahttps://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/22952The follower has everything inside. All files for Bodyslide. But he is too overpowered. ;)I was hoping that there is a way the missing files to "recreate".Followers download to the HD, replace missing files. Repack, install and customize.Anyway thanks for your help! ;)
