Guest Posted May 24, 2019 Posted May 24, 2019 I been tinkering with bodyslide and through trial and error learned to somewhat use the program. The issue I'm facing now is that I'm at a point were I want to give some armors a costume feel to them so I have tried to add new meshes from other armor mods. the way I'm doing this is by selecting the armor I want and then adding other outfits while keeping the previous one. then I begin to erase the meshes I don't want. The problem is that the newly added meshes don't sho up in game. They do show up in bodyslide and outfit studio, but the only part of the outfit that appears in game is the original outfit that was selected. So I have look for information on this topic on how to merge the meshes and I keep stumbling into forums talking about nifscope. So I would like to know how to solve the whole merging thing and if I need nifscope can somebody provide a link and a brief explanation of what it is (I'll figure how to use it myself).
kingmooselord Posted May 24, 2019 Posted May 24, 2019 Did you set all the partitions correctly in outfit studio? You may also need to edit the armor entry with CK/TESedit if it covers more slots than originally.

And thanks for answering!

Easiest way is to open an armor that works and is similar and look how its tagged. I'm not aware of any simple tutorials about it.

I want to merge meshes from armors that were separated.

Lets say you combined a tshirt and boots. 32_BODY and 37_FEET would be labeled in outfit studio for each mesh respectively. So you add both to a costume project. You don't need to literally combine these meshes as 1 solid object as a side note. Now if the shirt was the original, and you left it here, you'd probably only see the shirt in game. You need to use CK/Tesedit and tag the new armor as Body and Feet for it to work. Or something like that. Not the armor item that gives actual armor, but the one that defines the nifs.

I'll give it a try when I have some time off. Thanks!
