Elizinator Posted May 18, 2019 Posted May 18, 2019 so im still having this annoying square decal problem around blood textures and footsteps. here is what i know: it only seems to occur under shadow conditions. the severity of the box is proportional to the depth of the shadow, changing ENBs completely does nothing. removing weather mods does nothing. rolling back ENB binaries does nothing. i have the most up to date one (0.380 at the time of writing) in-game, disabling individual features does nothing, EXCEPT for UseEffect=0, which solves the problem entirely, but obviously disables ENB entirely too =/
Elizinator Posted May 18, 2019 Author Posted May 18, 2019 UPDATE: i believe the culprit is cloud shadows. i really dont want to turn those off completely, but theyre causing the problem it seems. anyone know a solution? before you ask, i cannot post about this on boris' site. that site is a hassle and a half, and i cant even log in for some reason =/ also tried this suggestion here: http://enbdev.com/enbseries/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=6175&sid=d177a5d72077c0f76b71bd0ae4e162cd but all that did was make the footprints vanish completely.
modball Posted August 25, 2020 Posted August 25, 2020 Sorry for resurrecting an old post. For me, turning off ImageBasedLighting removes the rectangles for my ENB install and turning off CloudShadows makes the rectangles more prominent. Yet adjusting the parameters for each seems to make little difference so it must be tied to another setting. It also seems to be a time of day thing.. early afternoon, no rectangles, but as dusk approaches they become visible. Did you ever figure out a solution/working compromise? *Edit: adjusting [IMAGEBASEDLIGHTING] MultiplicativeAmount* values does have an effect, at the cost of some overall visual quality.
