First time Mod user overwhelmed by all these new terms, need help!

I am a first time modifier of The Sims 4 - So far I have downloaded the Wicked Whims package and I am trying to figure out how to use skin texture mods in conjunction. I would like to use the (better body mod package) and the Pornstar Cock V4.0 without breaking better body. How would I go about using this mod? Do I change the mods in better body or do I have to chose one or another? It says to use a tattoo overlay but I do not know what that means to non-mod individuals. 

 

On top of this - I don't which animations to use (I am gay so most of my sims will be male if that wasn't transparent already lol) so if you could recommend some animations mods I would appreciate it. 

Lastly, can I use other non-sexual mods with this? Such as house textures, clothing packs, and furniture packs? 

 

I know these questions may be dumb but I am very much confused and really do appreciate all help given.

I am no modder, so I cannot really help you in the department of which mod might work/conflict with another one. But most modders state to decide for one mod, when it overrides the Maxis base skins (for example: you could use "better body", but not another one influencing the same thing, in this case the naked skin texture - this does not apply to skin colours, though). As for people saying to use a tattoo overlay: Tattoos are a separate overlay/skin extra, so it does not disturb the original skin overlays. (A tattoo or skin effect overlay example would be things like freckles, wrinkles, or a mod that provides pubic hair - you can just put these on top of the skin of the character model.)

 

As for the animations: You have male and female interactions, but you can set the whicked whims mod settings to not caring which gender uses what animation, meaning female models can use male ones and vice versa. I have a lot of same sex character households and it does not really matter for the animation whether I pick "vaginal animation" or "anal animation" most of the time (save for handjobs). Sometimes you have some graphic glitches with the genitals if you use a vaginal interaction on a male sim, but otherwise the animation works just fine regardless of the sim's gender. If you are unsure which animation you might like, most modders provide previews of their animations where they put their downloads, so you can see what you might be comfortable with.

 

As for using other mods with the wicked whims one: That is totally possible. I'm using tons of other mods aside from the wicked wims (like make-up, clothes, etc.) one and it works just fine (the only issue I have is that I always have to use the auto installer provided with the WW mod, as my PC won't really use the WW mod otherwise, but it's just one mouse click).

But yeah, overall like @nambnb said, overall you can use any of the interactions.

You might get some weird clipping (pillows and such stick through sims) but yeah. I use custom couches and beds with little issues. Basemental has an amazing Drug & Alcohol mod here. I would highly recommend.
