Question about editing in CAS and Sims in my Gallery

I tried to think of a short way to ask it, but I couldn't think of one that wasn't confusing.

ANYWAY, I like to use the MC command center to edit the NPCs the game comes up with for jobs, and was wondering if there were a way I could quickly get them to look like Sims I've already got made in my gallery. Simply replacing them with gallery Sims [edit mail carrier's household in CAS, import Sim from gallery, delete original mail carrier and go back to world doesn't work, a new mail carrier just gets created because that Sim from the gallery doesn't have the mail carrier job, which in retrospect seems obvious].

I could merge a gallery Sim into the household of the NPC in CAS and use them as a reference to edit the NPC until they look like them, but that seems rather tedious. Is there a quicker way?

You can do it with MC Command Center. 

 

I'm not sure if it is called exactly like this, as I don't use the english version, but you just need to click on the ugly sim you want to replace / MC Command Center / MC CAS / Copy-Paste / Paste SIM from the gallery.
