Help? Some chars ignore custom hair/faces

Hey guys, I don't know if anyone here can help me, but I figured it'd be worth a shot. I'm using autolink to install costumes, and hair mods. The problem I've been having is that some characters are completely ignoring the hair/face mods (even those that are part of a costume like saafrat's and aren't selectable—the default head shows up). They show up in the list, but nothing changes when they are selected. This is the case even when using a "blank head/face". The weird thing is that it works fine with other characters. For example, all my Tina hair mods work just fine, but Honoka's don't. Has anyone ever experienced anything similar? The amount of installed mods seems to be a factor, because removing costumes on OTHER characters re-enable hair mods. To be clear, I only have about 30 hair mods on Honoka, so I'm not even close to hitting the hair limit. Something else is going on.

 

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find any information on this. Any ideas?

There may be substandard hair files.
You can move all your hair to other places and add them one by one.
