Problem Saving Settings In SexLab SE and SLA Redux SSE (Semi-Solved)

I just noticed an oddity and was hoping someone might be able to help with it.  I have a couple armor mods (personally customized* Tera Rogue and Hentai Void Armor) that don't seem to retain their "naked"/"not naked" setting when I start a new game session (e.g. load a save).  Another quirk is that SexLab's Strip Item Editor also doesn't retain changes to selections related to those armor mods.

 

I have a second character save and the same issues occur with the above armor mods, though I don't see the issues with other (similarly customized) armor mods in use on that save.  On the second character save, I have not previously used the mods with issues in that game.

Anyone know what might cause these settings to not be retained, a solid pointer in the direction of the database that saves such information, or how I might begin to track down the issue?

Sexlab SE v1.63 b6 and requirements
SLA Redux v29 and requirements
Skyrim SE v1.5.73

SKSE v2.0.15

SSE Engine Fixes v4.2
Everything on stable versions (AFAIK)

 

* The customization is a separation of the armor pieces as one would see in the "Amazing World of Bikini Armor" mod.  The ESP's have also been converted to ESPFE's; I have checked and the item ID's of the armor pieces are not changing between sessions.  The ESPFE's show no errors in SSEEdit 4.0.2.

*EDIT*
It looks like the problem has to do with the ESL flagged ESP's.  After a lot of reading and troubleshooting, I tested the armor mods with issues by making a copy without the ESL flag; the SLA and SL settings appear to be retained on the individual pieces with a regular ESP.

I don't know if this is a can't fix, won't fix, or unknown problem, but if anyone else comes across it, check to see if the mod with issues is ESL flagged.
