shawnhao Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Hi guys, First time modding for Skyrim, and I'm running into some issues. Created the boots in 3ds max, fitted them onto the UNP body - and I understand that I'll need to create a separate piece for the fitted torso mesh. However, I'm not sure what I'm missing with the nifskope entries: (and don't mind the crappy texture, just for testing...) I did assign the right skeleton (I think), but when loading the mesh in game, I get: I'm assuming that the problem is either some bad verts, or bad skeleton, but I haven't been able to pinpoint the issue... I'll play with the nifskope a bit more, but any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Vioxsis Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 That looks like bad weights or the kind of vert explosion from a not working weight slider. I can help more if you post the nif. And you should put pics in spoilers, it makes it hard to read your post.

Anyways, thanks for the insight on weight, painted the weights myself and everything works properly in game now. Now I just need to add the _1 mesh type for weight scaling, and add proper textures, but those are relatively trivial. Thanks for the help.
