A Mad Experiment

For the past few days, I've been conducting an experiment in Oblivion. I tweaked my SupremeMagicka.ini to effectively prevent spellcasting, and installed the Cold War Eastern Europe Fantasy Movie shaders for OBGE.

The result? A purely mundane (non-magical) game world that looks and feels like a very old movie. Have a look:

Here my character, a Xeo Argonian treasure hunter, is exploring a dungeon (specifically Fort Nikel).

PROTIP: To complete the feeling of an old Cold-War Eastern-European movie, turn on subtitles and create a mod that makes all the NPCs look dispassionate and emotionally distant while also introducing random three to six-minute long pauses between lines of dialog.

 

Also, just after defeating Mehrunes Dagon, cut to a shot of a small child running across the beach, go to a freeze frame shot of his face, and then print the words "FIN" on the screen.
