How can I keep my knocked-down followers from getting back in the fight?

Well, I'm at it again, picking up followers and roaming Skyrim with a mighty horde (about 10 followers).

I'm using Defeat, and everything's working, it's just that my followers keep getting up once the NPC that knocked them down is killed by another follower.

So while the NPCs troops get whittled down, I have an ever-replenishing team of followers.    The only way we can lose is if all the followers are knocked down before their opponents are killed, and I don't think this is going to happen.  Most of the followers aren't particularly special (like Jenassa), and most of them are random people I picked up with EFF.  If they didn't keep reviving and jumping back in, there would be plenty of wins and losses.

I've tried console command kill to keep my followers knocked down during the battle, tying them up once they're knocked down, forceav health 0 console commands, but they keep recovering and getting back in the fight.  I've even tried toggling their ai off, but that doesn't stop them.

I don't want my followers to die, I just want them to stay knocked down for the time I have specified in Defeat's MCM options.

Any suggestions?

Thanks, I'll give that a try.  I really like EFF, but i have to resolve this issue.

Trouble is, this adventuring band is crushing all in its path.

They rip through Genesis towers Reborn, Genesis Dynamically Increased Spawns, OBIS, and the Wenches (Deadly, Hateful, Judgment, and the other one), and every quest.  I even tried Revenge of the Enemies and Harder Enemies to liven things up (Since my followers are also NPCs, they got those effects too, and fights took forever).

I found FollowerLivePackage yesterday and tried that along with Revenge of the Enemies, and that's having a positive effect, since it has a no-recovery-during-combat setting, but it doesn't work for all of them for some reason (interference from EFF?).

I'm going to have to try new games with Immersive Amazing Follower Tweaks by itself and FollowerLivePackage by itself to see if they effectively address this issue and if I like the way they handle follower management enough to leave EFF.

I finally found a way to deal with this issue, and let me tell you,

What.  A.  Nightmare.

FollowerLivePackage was too annoying to keep, with a great many settings and AI behaviors that I didn't want, like 14 followers spastically running around me in short bursts, among many other annoying quirks.  I turned as much of it off as I could, but to no avail.

I didn't want to give up 30 levels of playing in this playthrough, so I didn't try iAFT.

I tried NPC Knockout Overhaul, but that made Defeat go sideways.

So that left console commands.

I saved the game right before a battle in the larger bandit ruin slightly to the west of Whiterun, the one that's Nord ruins with all the stone stairs going up (right by a rock outcropping with a silver deposit).

It was my 14 followers against about 20 bandits.  I sneaked up, then fell back once the fighting started (if I didn't the bandits would focus on me, giving my followers the chance to slaughter them).  Every time one of my followers went into knockdown, I did this:

tfc 1  so I could fly around the battlefield frozen in time.

setunconscious 1  to keep the followers in knockdown longer.  They still had an annoying habit of regaining their senses and jumping back in the fight, but this delayed it.

then I would tfc to get back to normal.

tgm  so  i could run up to them in god mode.

then I tied them permanently using Defeat's wake up and tie function.  Sometimes they'd even jump up from that, but at least it took awhile.

then, I had to evade the bandits so they wouldn't focus on me and keep doing this until my brave band of adventurers was finally defeated.

After 7 OR 8 TRIES, fighting Skyrims cranky little engine and memory ceilings EVERY STEP of the F'IN WAY,

(it's so stupidly bad that I can only save the game in a Live Anywhere Buildable Shacks underground burrow or the game CTD's when I try to load the save, and about every hour or two I have to build a burrow shelter and then sit in there for a month to let the engine clear the scripts.)

I finally got to the point where:

My followers legitimately lost the battle through not jumping back in the fight after they were beaten to a pulp.

I set their residence to that spot, to simulate their being captured by the bandits (hopefully they'll stay perma-tied),

Then I dismissed them.

Then, I added my character to the bandit faction so I can perma-tie everybody in sensible positions instead of scattered all over the battlefield, without getting attacked by this mob of bandits.

After that's done, I'll have my character run into the hills and ravines, drop the bandit faction, and she will finally be free.
