Back to Skyrim

Hello,

 

After years of playing Fallout 4, I am coming back to Skyrim.  I downloaded last version off Steam, I am getting the cannot validate 1 file.  I have read that this is not an issue to be concerned about.

 

I started up a new game, non-modded, just to get my feet wet again in the Skyrim world, but I get stuck in the carriage because the horse of the carriage is glitching around and the carriage doesn't move.  

 

I see that this is a common glitch?  Why I am asking as if this is common, do I have a bad install or is it "okay" and go ahead modding it with USLEEP and even adding the horse / carriage glitch mod I see on Nexus.

 

I am only asking if the base game is installed okay or do I need to try and re-install again - before I mod... or will the modding fix this?
