IMO it pretty much depends on how similar the assets are to the previous game in terms of how they are coded, organized and function.

I don't own the game (I have DOA5) but I am pretty sure the file format will be quite similar, if not identical. But keep in mind that most of the staff (except the director) is new. So something may have changed. But the publisher is the same, and the previous publisher was quite happy with the nude modding community.
