JennaLifestar Posted February 20, 2019 Posted February 20, 2019 I admit, i am new with mods. But i read the forum looking for an answer but it seems no one has the same problem as me. Since i wasnt sure what i was doing, i only downloaded 2 mods, one is wicked and the other is All_YrSa_items. I put both in "Mods" and when i start the game i can see the mods are activated. Ths is where im not sure, to test it i used a game already saved but then my avatar looks wierd : her tattoo is all blacked out and her makeup too. I wasnt sure what mod did that so i tested both (took one out and re-opened the game) to see that only the wicked mod does that. I do have the latest files and the game is updated. So not sure what i did wrong. Is it because i didnt start a new game? but then i took out the wicked mod and just added the other one (bdsm furniture) and i cant see to find them in shop or anywhere? Very sorry to bother everyone with this but i really want to add more mods to the game...any advice is appreciated. Â Thank you xox
Temporary500 Posted February 20, 2019 Posted February 20, 2019 Wish I could help more, but from what I can understand it sounds like a texture problem (the blacked out tattoo thing). Which files did you install from those mods? On the Whicked Whims page, you can download an optional file that adds custom skins, I didn't personally install that one, but I have seen custom skins mess with tattoos and overlays in-game. Also, did you do the Resource.cfg thing to allow script mods to work? I assume you did, but I thought I'd ask anyway, maybe it lights a spark in someone's mind and leads to problem-solved scenario. Â I'll still roam around in case I can help someway :3
PutuPisReal Posted February 20, 2019 Posted February 20, 2019 To make Wicked Whims work you have to have animations and enable custom game scripts through Game Options under Other right under Enable Custom Content and Mods. Search under WW for animations, there are allot of them. Having MCCC is good too, you can manipulate many aspects of your and other npc sims around you. Don't have too many sub folders in your Mods folder and it helps to sort out your folder, like having a Clothing folder for all your clothing mods etc, etc. Mostly what should be in your folder are Package and Script files, there are some exceptions like xml's and py/pyo files. Anything else like txt files or zip files should go. Â What you put in your Mods folder can effect your game play and can even stop Sims 4 from loading. So don't add any Sims 3 mods in okay.

I thought i would see something since the game recognized all the mods...(well 2, the furniture and wicked). But what is the Ressource.cfg thing?? You did well to mention it, because i have no idea what that is...i saw the file in the mod folder but thats it. I went back to the wicked site to see what i missed but i dont see it. So please tell me more!! lol and thank you for trying to help me.Â

I admit, i didnt downlaod any animations before getting this "mod thing" down. but i now realise how stupid that is lollll how can you try something if you dont put animations ahah i thought there was something in wicked alone. As for the folder, i checked, all i have is the folder of wicked and a ressource file thingy. (I took out the folder of All_YsRa for testing) thank you for the advice on keeping that folder net, i will......well once i get this thing right. The game sees the mods when i start the game...so maybe its just the fact i didnt add any animations?? i will try one to see. Thank you very much for trying to help me.Â

What this does is, to my understanding, tell The Sims 4 of the Mods folder and all of the subfolders it might contain, so that they are recognized and used. About the furniture, it is strange that you did not find anything, because Yrsa's should be buyable in build mod (under one of the categories where you can also find the chess table and the guitar if I am not mistaken, unless that was Illusion Room's set ? ). Either way, ask away if there is anything else and good luck! Resource.cfg
