Trudes Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 I've been searching for literally months to find a body hair mod for women in Skyrim. I've been wanting to feel more immersed in the medieval setting, but the fact that even peasant women have access to razors for daily shaving is getting in the way. I'd like to add body hair to women and while the texturing part I feel reasonably comfortable with, I don't know how to find the textures to edit, or map them to the bodies, or anything else. I'm sure someone else shares this fetish and would like to help. Or at least, I hope.
joefantana Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 not sure if this will be of any help or not but hell, if you have photoshop or gimp i think also supports .dds files you can load the textures in one and add your hair that way. i assume you know how to find the skyrim folder so from there this should help you find your textures "skyrim\Data\textures\actors\character\female" then the file will be "femalebody_1.dds" load them up and add your hair and whatnot and save and replace the old .dds file. though you should back them up before you edit it incase you mess up or want to switch or something. from there though you'd also probably want to make new normal maps so the hair has a little depth... that i have no idea how to do...so yea, sorry. i hope this helped at least a little. good luck =)
armspree Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 I made some good pubic hair brush tips for Photoshop if your interested. Let me know and I'll post a link.

I was planning on using paint.net, but thanks anyways. By the way, if anyone would like to help me with the actual texturing I'd be thankful. My goal is to make a body with this level of hairiness: http://skup.dip.jp/up/up03615.jpg . Completely natural. Armpit hair, leg hair, everything.

I don't think I've ever seen a woman with hair up to her belly button ala happy trail.
Trudes Posted December 3, 2012 Author Posted December 3, 2012 I have. It's a bit overstated, but they are out there. However, I didn't make that. It showed up in another thread on this forum about Japanese modders. The problem for me is figuring out how the texture lines up on the body. I don't suppose there's a tool or template, is there? I'm also having trouble getting the brush thin enough, at least in paint.net. The smallest size is still bigger than the hairs.
Trudes Posted December 3, 2012 Author Posted December 3, 2012 Here's my first attempt. I'm working off of a skin that already happened to have some body hair. This is pretty early on, but I'm working on getting the happy trail first because it seems the least difficult. I'm having trouble accurately replicating the pubic hair. (I'm sure you all can see the line between the modder's and my own). Any pointers? I'm using PAINT.net http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/6554 I'm editing the hairy dirty skin from this pack.
joefantana Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 are you at all familiar with nifskope? or no? also if the brushes aren't doing what you want in paint.net try using gimp it's free as far as i know and you can use user created brushes
Trudes Posted December 4, 2012 Author Posted December 4, 2012 From what I've heard Gimp is harder to use than Paint.net, but I might just do that. I'm starting to understand how to use the brushes in Paint.net better though.
