Falling through floor at start of animation

Hey all. So I am encountering something pretty strange. Whenever a SL animation is supposed to start up both the PC and the NPC will teleport to a certain location (say in the middle of the inn) and stand halfway in the floor. After removing clothes we fall through the floor before appearing back behind the counter with clothes equipped. It triggers whether I choose to use a bed or not. Here is my load order..any  help would be appreciated.

Not really sure what to say,

I get that too sometimes.....Like they characters end up in the right spot and they still do it but sure before they get together one of them sometimes falls through the floor.

 

One thing I have noticed is that if I remove some scripted mods things run much better/faster/smoother so that means stuff like DDI in my load order might have to go, Im not always using it when playing the actual game anyway.

I don't suggest removing mods during a game cause that gets bad real quick....

Mostly if its not an issue just ignore it till that character has played itself out.

If its like only been ten levels sure just start culling away removing mods you can live without and it sure will help out how well the rest of the mods work in your game.  Of course that means starting a new character.

 

Other than that I hear that using Wyrebashes Bain process is supposed to be really good.

 

For those of on Mod Organizer or NMM....Well there is the option to use the Merger method.....There is a file out there somewhere that allows you to merge mods together into one ESP, this effectively makes Virtual Loaders like MO run a lot faster in game.

Thing is you have to be really confident about the mods you decide to merge together cause you don't want to roll in problem mods.

Mods that are really a no brainer to merge,

 

Outfit mods as long as they don't have scripts and you are not expecting any updates.

I think there is a gamerpoets video on youtube that drills down deep on this method, I just cant remember where it was.

Deotern, your issue caught my attention because this issue was also on occasion for some people doing the same thing in FlowerGirls, it is not exclusive to SL. After much experimentation the cause was found to be general script lag. In your load order you have Birds of Skyrim. That single mod right there will cause this to occur on its own, however you are also running Wet and Cold which again has a high script load. So it is easy for me to see why this is happening. To prove it.. uninstall both those mods, and look at how much better all scripted mods run on your system.

So I got rid of both of those and are still having the same thing happen. 

 

EDIT: Okay, it work on new characters. I was not thinking about the fact that all those scripts are still left behind on a current character.

I've been having the same issue.  Did you ever find a solution?

I fixed a few of those by resetting SexLab. I don't remember the exact option in the MCM, something like 'Clean' or 'Restore settings to factory'. Don't forget to export settings first and reimport thereafter. I don't remember if I had to register animations with SLAL again, probably so.

In FG I added a console command you can use if you are falling through floor:

 

set dxScriptWaitTime to 0.3

 

A good range to try here would be between 0.1 and 0.5.  The default value is currently 0.0. The impact is simply that scenes will take a few moments longer to finish the higher the value is.. which is a trade off to giving the FG script a bit more time to correctly re-position. Basically the more script heavy your game is at that point in time the more chance there is of having to use a higher value.  If you are experiencing this frequently then it probably points to a high script load on your game, so I would try a higher value until the falling never occurs, and then incrementally reducing the value until you find a good spot.

I don't have this exact issue, but i am wondering.. for me my charcter often falls through the floor when the scenes end and the characters get moved to their original positions (i assume), is there a way to prevent this other than console and tcl and move character back manually?

I would attempt one of 2 things:

  1. When the animation ends, move all involved characters 32 units up from where they currently are. Will look silly most likely.
  2. Enable the ragdoll ending in SL.

But on the other hand, for me this happens so rarely I can't even remember when it last occured. So that in mind:

  1. Make sure nothing is overriding SL's scripts.
  2. Be suspicious of mods that do things in the AnimationEnd event from SL.
