sexlab strip item editor not working

I'm having a issue where "strip item editor" in sexlabs MCM just simply doesn't work, normally you click on the clothing in the list and they change from "never remove" to "always remove" and what i presume is random (---)

but now when i click on the clothing buttons they don't change, its just stuck on "---"

its like they don't detect my mouse or something (even though everything else works fine in sexlab MCM)

i have already tried a clean re-install and that changed basically nothing.

any ideas?

It will change only during sex animations.

what i mean is i cant choose whether or not i want an item to be stripped during an animation, before i could click the buttons and set the clothes i wanted to keep to "never remove" without having to run animations, now the buttons just don't work full stop.
