Mailamea Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 Well as the title says. Ever since I started using blender for my conversions, I never had texture show up. So I was wondering how to I show the texture in blender? All my files are meshes/textures are set up in the blender install directory too. But this is what I see when im doing conversions, ever since.
Guest flingingfeces Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 Hmmm as long as the paths are correct and you have normal maps for the textures you shouldn't be having a problem.
Ark of Truth Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 It should do it automatically, I'll see if I can open it up in Blender.
tattooedillusions Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 Yeah textures have never shown up for me either. I just thought that's how it was supposed to be.
Thorazine Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 Simple, it's under Draw Type: Make sure you are importing from a file structure similar to the Oblivion Data folder, or the texture will show up as black. May need to copy over all your race skin textures, but the Imperial skin textures should be sufficient for most. I have a tendency to switch between Texture, Solid, and sometimes Wireframe.
Nephenee13 Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 You can manually assign the textures. I have the main window split in two, and use the right side for Texture/UVMap manipulation.
Ark of Truth Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Is there a way of getting Blender to use Textured by default?
astymma Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Is there a way of getting Blender to use Textured by default? If you set up your workspace you can save it in any window mode you want. When I made SL sculpties, I kept all basic primitives in different render layers and had specific editing windows open. I saved this as my workspace and every time Blender launched I'd get that as my default workspace blend file... so I was ready to begin editing immediately upon launching Blender (or load a different Blend file than the default workspace if I chose). Saving the current window layout as your default workspace (including meshes/etc. loaded in specific render layers) is done by hitting control-u.
