unlock "key only" doors?

The gate in helgen is locked for some reason... even though I've opened it before! theres an npc leading me to a quest but is stuck at the gate... in the console i can't find the key for it (helgen keep key doesn't work..) is there a spell or mod to open this freaking gate.

Well,

 

there is always the unlock console command. Go to first person view mode, face the door, open the console, then use the mouse to click on the door. Some number should appear at the top of the console, representing the reference you clicked on.

Now simply type: unlock into the console and press enter. You should get some feedback like: “Unlocked Door”

Close the console and try to open the door again, it should now be unlocked.
