Sexlab Tools tool key hotkey doesn't work

I just about finished sorting priority, order, and animation generations through FNIS and enabling them through SLAL. However, when I go to press the tool key hotkey (after pressing 'N' to select my chosen actor), nothing happens. I was wondering if there was another mod that I needed to initiate the scene in order to then have tool key functionality?

 

Also, I have Sexlab Dialogues but whenever I talk to an NPC, the dialogue does not show up. I've had one occasion where tool keys did work as well as the Sexlab tools hotkey, but I started a new save and now I'm stuck.
