Scripting Question

So if one was looking to write a script so if the player was to hit 50% health and you wanted that to effect like a glow part how would you go about writing that script? Would you even do a script or create a variable in the CK? Been looking all over figured I could try here and see if anyone might be able to point me in the correct direction.
