Lilith as a Head Mesh

Recommended Posts

Posted

I have used the Lilith head from borderlands 2, but i don't know how to make it act as a head mesh, it will work as a mask but facial expressions are not present.

so the request?

Can someone convert her head as a usable head mesh?

Here are the files:

Mostly likely everything is converted to work with NV/FO3 just needs to be converted to work like a head mesh.

If you get permission from site staff to allow it to be done then I will try.

At the moment though not going to because it is illegal to importing assets from one game to another.

Oh... But i already have seen many surfaced around like mass effect stuff, tons and tons of it.

I got told I can do i so let me take a look :)

tried with my best to make it as a head mesh instead of equipable mask, but my powers are not that good on that field, i end up with exploding stretchable infinity head everywhere lol, kinda like when you don't have the proper skeleton lol.

Well at the moment nifskope is not texturing the head when I open it.

But i made it work as a mask and its textured.

EDIT: "I'll put up a preview of whats done so you can see what i mean"

Well I managed to get it to texture finally after find the paths to change.

As far as I know if you want her to look exactly like Lilith the only way to do it is with a mask. But you won't get expressions.

If you did the race way then you would have to most likely remove her face and only have her hair and tattoos but then you would have to manually configure her face to look like Lilith's.

Let me mess around with it a bit more and I'll see if I can come up with something. I'll put making my Lovers plugin on hold for now.

The preview above is what i have come up with, thus the problem is a face mask = no expressions.

The body is actually an armor that has the skin part not flagged as skin, so it will render the texture liliths body uses. If i remove the armor it will be type 6 body and will most likely mismatch colors.

So the solution i come up with is make her a race, remove parts of clothing use it as upperbody, somehow convert facemask to work as face mesh.

Didn't work out well = exploading faces. lol

Well you will be able to make her a race but she will not be exactly like Lilith, close but not exact and it going to take a load of work.

Let me mess around and I will see if I an get something done.

It is possible to get it done exact somehow. I remember coming across this guys stuff a while back, he seems to be a master at it.

My attempts at the same ended with floating eyeballs  Something to do with EGM or Tri files.

@Evilrunner : yup know him, he made awesome stuff ripped from almost every game known lol, hes most famous work is Snake, and Jill Valentine.

Same here i have no idea how egm and tri files work.

@Ark of Truth : Dunno how to make tri files. :(

EGM files no problem, i use growlf's conformulator for that one.

Nah you can do it, i've seen some really neat imported head meshes, no idea how though.

You can check out my Fix for Head06 Grin mod for some information and especially throttlekitty's tutorial I link to about adding eye morphs (which deals with tri files and has tools).

The basic concept is this... a TRI file is simply an archive containing a bunch of OBJ file fragments which are target morphs for the facial animations. In throttlekitty's tutorial there is a tool by Scanti called addmorph that allows replacing morphs. I used it to replace the grins for Head06 (and included a how to do this yourself txt file in my mod files section).

Creating a tri file from scratch would involve some hex editing to replace the "neutral" morph (i.e. the base face in a neutral pose) on an existing tri file and then replacing each morph in the tri file with a new morph using addmorph (time consuming).

You can also check out Alecu's FaceMix tool.

All in all, not an easy process and containing little to no documentation. I'd suggest talking to Riven1978 or RocketLombax as both seem to have done similar projects in the past.

Let's get the Lilith head working first shall we before we make more :dodgy: I can only do one at a time.

At the moment I need to find out where facial animations are connected too and then I can fix the issues pretty quickly.

EDIT: It's getting there......painfully slow.

Note: Lilith head is not made to fit into this game engine. :-/

@Silk : I could try making her a mask type thing too, cause I don't know how to make head mesh, only equipable mask. Problem is I don't have assets containing mad moxxi's head mesh from BL2. Ill also try to take a look on my collection of obj files.

@ark of truth: you are awesome as usual, facial expressions is beyond me. At this rate I will need to give you her body and armor. No rush. Take your time. More time used when made - much better quality.

When its done, I have done her armor, only her body, and we can release an LL exclusive lilith race :D
