Giving the Bijin girls their own body

Hello my lovely Loverslab peoples!

Alright so I'm trying to understand how to give the Bijin Warmaidens, NPCs and Wives their own custom bodies (ones that I would make myself). Now, I do know how to make my own bodies with BodySlide, that's fine. What does confuse me, however, is the folder structure of the Bijin mods, along with the actual tutorial given by the author of the mod for doing just that (giving them different bodies) because it doesn't quite fit what I see myself (I'll explain).

So, first, I'm using Mod Organizer 2 (I'm also modding for Skyrim Special Edition, but when it comes to folder structures and methodology for giving custom bodies nothing changes between SE and Oldrim, at least not that I know of).

Alright, now, here's the folder structure of Bijin Warmaiden after installing it via Mod Organizer:

The Meshes are structured as follows...

meshes\actors\character\

Now, inside the 'character' folder, there's 22 folders, each one representing the 22 Warmaidens. Ok, that's fine. However, there's also a folder called "Bijin Warmaidens" (without quotes, of course). Now, inside that Bijin Warmaidens folder, I can see the BODY meshes. But, there's NO other body meshes anywhere else (I.E. none in the 22 folders of each Warmaidens). Which means that, by default, all the 22 Warmaidens of the mod indeed share the exact same body meshes located inside the Bijin Warmaidens folder (at least as far as I can understand it).

When it comes to the other 22 folders, they each separately contain their own meshes for the HEAD, the EYES and the HAIR (but nothing for the body indeed).

Ok... SO... with all this said, here is what the AUTHOR of the mod says for giving the Warmaidens their own body:

1) Copy the following 2 body meshes from the body mod which you want to use (Yeah ok, simple enough I do get that part; it could also be body mesh files from custom bodies I would have made).

Now, the confusing part...

2) Overwrite character's mesh files where Data/meshes/actors/character/Bijin Warmaidens/here (Yeah... well I do understand... BUT... that folder makes the body meshes a SHARED body across ALL the Warmaidens)

So, see my... confusion here? The author does give proper steps to follow if we want to replace ALL the Warmaidens bodies at once. But they would ALL share the exact same body meshes (with only their respective textures, and hair, eyes and head meshes... but the BODY remains identical for all of them).

What I actually want to do is to give EACH ONE of the 22 Warmaidens their own respective custom body. However, I do NOT understand the folder structure. What would I have to do? Delete the "Bijin Warmaidens" folder entirely AND create new folders INSIDE each one of the other 22 folders for respective bodies? Leave the Bijin Warmaidens folder intact and somehow do something that 'tricks' the game into using different meshes? I just can't see what type of structure to create to do what I want to.

Additionally, I'm using the Bijin All-In-One 2018 version of the "AIO" variants. There's two of them, one of them is the 'old' original AIO, but the newer one is more recent and fixed a bunch of things. At the end of the installation there's only ONE single .ESP activated, that of the 2018 AIO's, and everything does work in the game. Because, indeed, other than wanting to give each one of them their own respective custom bodies, the mod actually works wonderfully with that AIO mod. However, I DO wonder if there's a specific folder structure that the .ESP itself also happens to follow (I.E. even if I modify the folder structure, maybe the .ESP won't be looking at the right places and nothing would change in the game, or it would create issues like 'blank' body meshes, invisible heads, screwed up makeups, etc).

I'm just confused.

So, does ANYONE here know (or actually also happened to HAVE done so before) how to give EACH one of the Warmaidens, Wives and NPCs of the Bijin mods their own custom body?

Thanks!

You have to look at the armor addon section.   For example... if we install Bijin Gerdur as a standalone file... you will see that there is an armor addon called GerdurTorsoAP.

Look at the female world model under that entry and you will see that it points to actors\character\bijin npcs\femalebody_.nif

That is the folder structure it is looking for to find the body files.

So you could change it to something like actors\character\bijin npcs\CustomGerdur\femalebody_.nif  and you would put the files into a folder under bijin npcs called CustomGerdur.  Now you probably want to do the same thing for the hands and feet as well, or you will get seams.   In this case it would be GerdurFeetAP and GerdurHandsAP

You can do the same thing with textures but that would be located in texture set (gerdurtorsotex) in this case.
