SimsDystopia Posted October 15, 2018 Posted October 15, 2018 Alright, I've been a lurker for a hot minute but this issue has been bugging the shit out of me and I feel so stupid for not knowing how to fix it. My skyrim game has these strange lines, the best comparison I can think of is like a very small grid, that is constantly there and while the game is still playable I love taking screenshots and this graphical thing makes it hard to take nice ones. I found tons of people talk about it for LE and say to turn up "iBlurDeferredShadowMask" up but I can't seem to find that in my SkyrimPrefs. The attached photo is the one I think it's most obvious in, just look at her neck and you can see what I mean. Apologies if this isn't the right format, I don't typically post on forums.
Lodakai Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 If you are referring to the shadow striping, I used RLO and it resolved that problem for me. I still got it with ELFX unfortunately. Throw it in a backed up saved game temporarily and see if it alleviates what you are seeing. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/844 You can also dig around for shadow striping fixes for SE if you prefer not to use RLO. I'm sure there is a standalone version for SE somewhere.
Metalsaber Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 Looks like it could be 2 things. 1.) If you are using an ENB (which is appears so), turn EnableAmbientOcclusion off. If it goes away, its possible your AmbientOcclusion resolution is set too low. That would be in your enbseries.ini file under [SSAO_SSIL]. ResolutionScale SourceTexturesScale 2.) Have Ambient Occlusion turned on in game. Turn that off. Set bSAOEnable to false.
