Kristus Kringle Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 Last spring I installed a mod that borked my game. I tried for a month to fix it, uninstalling and deactivating mods, verifying files, asking for advice, nothing worked. I gave up in frustration. I am unable to start even a new vanilla game. I've resigned myself that I need to wipe and reinstall everything. Unfortunately some mods are no longer available and others I've changed/modified to suit myself. Is there a way I can save these mods short of searching through and pulling out individual files? What data can I save? I'm using mod manager.
Adviser69 Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 reVanilla. Although made for Oldrim, it works as is for SE as well. Run the program in the SE folder, then validate your game install, and go from there. Kristus Kringle Posted September 12, 2018 Author Posted September 12, 2018 Okay, I was hoping to save more but took a few shots of Wild Turkey and said fuck it, ran revanilla. I'll just start from scratch.
Kristus Kringle Posted September 18, 2018 Author Posted September 18, 2018 Update, revanilla does not do a thorough job on sse. It leaves behind random files that will fuck with your game.
