Blood decals on body: When do they go away?

When you get attacked, blood decals appear on your character's body. In Skyrim, changing armors would be enough to clean those off. That doesn't happen in FO4 though.

 

Aside from saving/loading, how do you get the blood decals off? I tried sleeping 10 hours and they were still there as well.

Have you tried jumping in water for a bit? I don't mean dip and go, I mean soak it up for a bit. Can't remember if that works or not, but I think it does.

 

I use mods that add showers (CWSS), so when I get dirty, I just take a shower and it goes away. So assuming if you just splash around in a lake or deep river it should wash the blood off.

Would rather stay bloody than soak up rads...

Don't have the Aquaboy perk I take it? It prevents you from taking rad damage in water.

 

As for it being buggy, I haven't ran into any issues with it. I've never seen that bug they describe while using it. I play Survival mode, take showers all the time (I have Get Dirty as well that makes me have to shower from time to time), and I've never got that bug of my AP replenishing outside of showering.
