Commanderx Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 Recently I had to uninstall CBBE because it was making bodies paler than the heads, and I was unable to fix that. I removed the altered files and replaces them with the defaults, but I'm still getting paler bodies. What can I do? To clarify: There is absolutely nothing wrong with the heads. They are textured and colored correctly. It is the body skin tone that is paler than the head, not vice versa. Ark of Truth Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 Did you change FaceGenTexturing to 0 in the ini file?
Commanderx Posted October 25, 2012 Author Posted October 25, 2012 Did you change FaceGenTexturing to 0 in the ini file? The only ini I see that line in is in the SkyrimEditor ini, which I thought only applied to the Creation Kit.
Ark of Truth Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 You should have a Skyrim.ini in my documents. Where did you get your Skyrim from? Steam? or another download site?
Commanderx Posted October 25, 2012 Author Posted October 25, 2012 You should have a Skyrim.ini in my documents. Where did you get your Skyrim from? Steam? or another download site? Bought it through Steam. I looked in both Ini files in My Documents and the ones in the Steam subfolder. I'll add that line to the ini and test it. Edit: Added the line, nothing's changed.
Commanderx Posted October 25, 2012 Author Posted October 25, 2012 Try verifying your game cache. While that did replace three files for me, it still didn't fix the skin issue.
Commanderx Posted October 25, 2012 Author Posted October 25, 2012 So it turns out that it was an issue with a mod I had installed, which was supposed to just add more marriage options, that somehow caused the discoloration.
FastestDogInTheDistrict Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 Did you change FaceGenTexturing to 0 in the ini file? Not sure if I've heard of this tweak before. What exactly does it do, and what issues is it designed to address/avoid?
