What is the best nude body mod?

Whatever one would consider the best body mod is entirely a matter of opinion, kupo. Though I shall point you in the direction of the ones I prefer, or ones I know to be popular, kupo!

First off, one of my favorites would be the Type 6 Modification body, here's the link for it on Nexus, kupo:

http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/45162

And here are a few threads containing excellent work from these very forums for this body, kupo!

http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=12399

http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=12296

Edit: I should note that the collections that the two last links convert are considerably large, kupo, in case you are limited on either bandwidth usage or hard disk space, kupo.

Regardless of which body you choose - kupo - if you opt to install anything that goes bouncy, you're going to need this skeleton installed, kupo!

http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/45229

Aside from T6M, one of the mods I prefer would be Type 3F, kupo.

http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/45445

Anyways, kupo. Finished with my opinion, kupo. Here are some of the other body replacers that seem to be quite popular, kupo.

http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/38132

http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/35047

There are more body replacers out there, kupo, however one of these body variants would be a fair place to start, kupo.

Hope I've been somewhat helpful, kupopo!

Hey, finally got it to work, and sorry to keep picking your brain, but why is my characters lower section blacked out?

You need archieve invalidate, make sure you open it in your Mod manager.

You can also do it manually if you are not using one, but it's stronglly suggested that you get a mod manager.

Do you mean the head and body have different color skin? Then you need ArchiveInvalidationInvalidated!.

Solid black textures are an indicator of insufficient texture memory in your graphics card. Purple textures are missing textures. Graphical glitches like black and purple textures can also be caused by hitting and exceeding the mod limit (different for everyone, but keep an eye out for it any time after 100 or so mods... easy to check for, disable a few mods and reload and if problem disappears, probably too many mods).

Archive Invalidation should always be double-checked and make sure it's functioning. The best way is to install just one loading screen replacer or similar... you'll know almost immediately upon loading if AI is working if you see the new loading screen.

Type 6 is the best, but most people don't seem to realize it.

Type 6 Modification is a close second, but the changes it makes kind of spit in the face of what Type 6 was supposed to be to start with, so its very existence is kind of insulting.

Type 3 is crap and I hate that it's still around.

Everything else is such utter shit that mentioning it will bring bad luck to my children and my children's children.

I agree, though not with as much fervor. :P

I prefer Type 6 over Type 6M, and the lack of bounce for T6 doesn't really bother me.

Well that is, like, your opinion, man.

I love the T6M. Better ass, even if it's a slight change is enough for me to jump all over it. Plus, Izumiko has done a pretty bang-up job.

The best nude body mod is actually a process of personal taste and can require some tweaking to get exactly right.

I use Mak07's (Skyrim RMA and Makbody) Type 3 M for the base body meshes as I find the proportions to be acceptable without being too skinny or too exaggerated, its the good middle ground body mesh. I also use his Clothing and Armor replacer.

Unfortunately the textures are only functionally passable, in detail, so I go get Black Blossom's BOG Cali Hi-Rez skin and I repackage that as just skin textures only and install it over the T3M textures.

I then use DK Female Face Textures, but the variance in facial to body tone is a little extreme if you just do this vanilla (but the facial details for this face are so well done I can't really play without it), so I then open the femalebody.dds from the BOG Cali pack and the femalehead.dds from the DK head textures in CS5, sample the base body color from the BOG body, and then fill a new layer over the DK face texture and set the layer mask to soft light, then merge the layers, which conforms the DK face to the BOG body color schema, which then makes neck seams almost completely unnoticeable in FONV unless you run into someone wearing an unconverted piece of clothing or armor which is rare.

Effectively the "best" body mod for FONV or FO itself is down to what you prefer, but due to limitations of the pre-Creation Engine tech, requires a lot of adjustment to personal taste to become the "best" body mod for you.

T3M doesn't have BB support though to my knowledge, but it doesn't really need it either, just use the compatibility skeleton and you're good to go for most anything.

You know, I've never tried manually messing with textures because I assumed it's all arcane voodoo, but you make it sound pretty easy here. I might have to give it a try.

I do a lot of texture based art as part of my real job. So its sort of second nature to me.

To be honest I barely ever finish a Bethesda game, I spend so much time modding the mods I use to conform to my tastes that it gets a bit silly.

The overall process of conforming DK's face to the base colors of whatever body textures you're using though is relatively easy though and doesn't require much in the way of professional skill.

Personally' date=' I like Type3M the most. While the clothes for T6M I think are the best, I'm just not much of a fan overly shrunken waist-line for the body itself. But, the clothes for Type3M aren't half-bad, either (actually, they're pretty friggin' awesome).

Which is why I use both T6M and T3M. I use the replacer T6M and for my companions I use the non-replacer T3M that puts all the T3M clothes in the chests by the truck across from the Doc's house. Then again, I've also modified a ton of NPC's to use custom races and custom bodies/clothes so I have a mix of T6, T6M, T3M, T3F, T6BB and even the odd BNB Half and one Gifted and some Athletics (like Red Lucy). It's simple to use any body type you want and there's no reason to choose one or the other. Then again, this is a purely subjective topic and "best" doesn't even apply without the qualifier "for you".

Care to share your game files :-) Sound like that took time, how the game should be, everyone is a little different as far as the body's goes.

The real question here is (in my own perverted mind)' date=' has anyone taken any of these bodies to such a godly level as this?
