SATA failure

So, an old internal WD 1TB SATA drive failed on me.

Just bought a new one today. But it doesn't even show up in bios/Windows 10.

My pc just freeze out bios screen whenever I insert the new one. Also is it bad that the save&exit button just glitches out in all colours with and without the new sata inserted?

I really don't don't know much about pc , my guess is that I need to unplug all cables and replug them somewhere else on my motherboard?

I'm just too afraid to do it as the "IT specialist gamer pc shop" my Personalized Crap came from just tested the old sata out, said it was dead and let me buy a new one.

I asked how I need it to work and they went like: "oh, a sata is just like an hdd; just plug it in and format it."

So if take my pc at that store they'll probably keep it for like a month just to replug some cords and laugh at me for a bit.

Don't ask me witch cables are even in my pc. If you wan't to help me just try to find screenshots of those particular cables. I'll try to find screenshots of what cables I have.

Sorry for the angry rant.
