Mailamea Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 Ok, so there's this mod on Skyrim Nexus, called Fallout 3 hairs for Skyrim , and guess what my MM10 hair pack is used. The guy did not ask for my permission, but its ok, since he credited me, but on the wrong name. I pmed him to use my real user, but seing that his been MIA for a month now. The WTF is nexus didn't even review the mod, I know that he's conversion should get him banned because he used assets of a banned modder from nexus. So basically I can call in a comment to shut down his mod, but am not, since he credited me(on the wrong name lol) Damn nexus, now you can't even review mods? Lol Sorry for the rant
Ark of Truth Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 You shouldn't really let someone use your work without your permission, before you know it loads of modders will be using it and not crediting you but him instead. Coming in to think of it doesn't the Nexus hate asset importing? He should be banned already under the ground of importing assets from one game into another. Nexus really loves to bend their own rules don't they. Not going to report it but I am going to....liberate it It won't be long until it goes into moderation.

RDKateran Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 IIRC, unless the mods there can immediately see that the file uses stolen game assets, moderators won't know it has content taken from another modder's work without permission until someone reports that that's what's happening.

My file got undermoderation in 2days, his file used my MM10 hair pack which is 100% instant ban if reuploaded, yet he did not get banned. Its ok for me that he did not even try to contact me or get my permission. Cause at least he credited me. (On the wrong name though)

If you went into the forums or even here and said have you ever used a mod by MM10 I bet most of the forum would most likely say "who?"
