Temporary500 Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 I am aware that this is an old post, do forgive me for the necromancer I am, but wanted to post a solution in case the author was still looking and, if not, for other that might be looking for a solution to this. To change a character's hair color you just need to edit the facegen mesh that comes with the mod. To find it, search for the file here: Data -> meshes -> actors -> character -> facegendata -> FaceGeom and then the folder with the name of the mod or dlc or whatever else that contains your objective, in this case Muiri is from Skyrim, so the folder is the one called Skyrim.esm (Bijin modifies Muiri, it is not adding her as a newly made character, that is why if, for example, Muiri was cloned and modified while ALSO placed as a separated NPC, the new NPC's head will be found in the mod's folder, not Skyrim's, as it originated from the mod). Once inside the folder where the head file is, one will see plentiful of nif files all around, never worry! While for mods it can be confusing, as there are, usually, no wikis that contain a summary of their IDs, the Skyrim wikis contain such information (I personally use the Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Main_Page ), and the ID we are looking for is a series of numbers called the BaseID. Muiri's base ID is 0001406B so with this we can search for the correct file. Once we have it, we need nifskope. Spoiler For skintones it is a bit different, and I have no idea if it can be done without using something like Racemenu or stuff like it, because, if you export the head from the Creation Kit after modifying the skin tone the normal way, it will loose the sculpt data not done inside the Creation Kit and much more (like much of the tinting and transparency of it from my experience), and revert the character to a "vanilla-like" state, if lucky, otherwise it will give the grey-face buf or something like a colored stripe across the forehead of the character. What I tried to do to fix this is to just open the file that is used for the skin tone in something like GIMP and edit it there, but I am no artist and, while possible, it is beyond my abilities to make work. If one can do so, though, one has to also remember what tonality they modified the texture to, as it will need to be applied in the creation kit for the body to match the head. I can go into more detail, but wanted to be sure I can still respond before doing too much for fear of things getting deleted or some such. I read the rules up and down before posting, and found no mention about restrictions to this sort of practice, but I submit to Morrowind authorities if this kind of necromancy is not allowed.
