Help with a mesh repair job? [SOLVED]

Hello LLers. I decided to contribute instead of constantly leeching one day. I've been using the UNPB version of Kagura set (was it Endiness that made it?), but I can't help notice but the hair mesh from the helmet has a seam on the right side and tears when walking:

The one on the left is the original xinavro conversion for comparison, and the right is the UNPB version. I tried fixing the one on the right in Blender (yes, the tutorials helped and I did manage to export it to nifskope after a day of banging it with a hammer), and the nifskope model looked perfect, but the ingame rendering...whoah, I spawned a monster.

Anyway, I would like some advice, is it the fault of my retext job (in all honesty, all I did was select some vertices and choose "remove duplicates" round the affected area), or is it the nifskope job (export from Blender/nifskope manipulation etc). Oh yeah, my butchered .nif is here: http://www.mediafire.com/?di19d488hgby04j

Everyone's armor modding expertise is highly appreciated m(_ _)m

I've got that problem too. If the pictures aren't showing up, open the image on another tab, and when it says forbidden, just refresh it. It should show.

EDIT:

here're the Photobucket-uploaded images.

Bump. I've retraced my steps and I found that I didn't weight my armor in blender. However the tutorial doesn't mention that I need to and the imported armor doesn't have a weight. Do I need to and what do I need to weight it with?

Also, why does my UV map look like this?

EDIT: Interestingly, after looking at a lot of tutorials, my Blender still pukes an error when importing .nif if I remove just the BSLightningShaderProperty. If I remove the BSDismemberSkinInstance as well, then it imports with no problem, but otherwise, the console tells me: ValueError: invalid enum value (131).

For comparison, I tried importing a bog-standard iron helmet with the same settings (User->11, User2->34, delete BSLightningShaderProperty). Same error appeared, but the model imported. It's all white though...

Nifscript issue?

EDIT2: Oh shoot, should this be in tutorial section instead? (´・д・`)

So anyway, some days have gone, and I have a splitting headache, but check this out:

Yes people, I've did it. Apparently merging vertices did the deal and my Blender import/export has gone well; that error code was due to the different software version that's installed.

So there we go, thanks a lot for...erm, not helping I guess? But hey it's all fixed. Also: I modified the main OCZ Kagura.esp to take advantage of Dual Sheath plus Shield on Back mod quite a ways back. Unfortunately, I still don't know who made this mod in the first place (Xinavro didn't do the UNPB version, right?), so I don't know if I can share this mesh fix/.esp or not.
