NPC Staff & magic sounds never ending, after sheathing!

I get this weird problem quite often while I'll rolling through Skyrim with a companion who uses staffs or magic. I always give Lydia the best staffs I find, so she always dual wields them (something I've heard is impossible without mods... Well, it isn't), but sometimes after she puts them away, I can still hear the flame or ice effect, and its really loud and distracting. Even removing the weapon from their inventory doesn't help!

 

Its a minor gripe, but once you start listening to it, its VERY hard to ignore, and can quickly become a pain in the rarse. The same happens to mage followers too (like Brylena, Jzargo & Illia).

 

The only way to fix this seems to be closing the game completely, and restarting it. Just wondered if anyone else gets this problem and if they knew of any solutions (maybe a console command or something?)
