About This File
Hey everyone!
I recently came back to X-Change Life after a while away, especially after The Goblin's Pet and The Goblin's Pet: Recollared (Aphrodite is honestly amazing), and I got the itch to make something. I've been writing a novel series for a while now, and it turns out it fits ALMOST perfectly into this universe. So that's what this is: a mod built on my own story, dropped right into Summer City.

THE PROFESSOR (v1.0)
You're a few drinks deep at the Broken Drum when a well-dressed guy in his forties slides onto the next stool. He's charming, he's funny, and he tells you all about his research: a spray made from four compounds and one of his own. Ha ha. Then you go home, and your body won't let you finish until you remember the word he said.
Works for a male or a female PC. He doesn't discriminate.
PART 1: HIS
It starts at the bar. The nightly word ritual, the trips back to the bar or the club you can't stop yourself making, the trance, the back room, the claim, and finally the seal, when he doesn't need to call you in anymore. There's a hidden Control stat that decides how much saying "no" costs you. Every time you come for him, it climbs. Nano Nano sells a (pricey) way to claw some back.
PART 2: THE FAMILY
Once he owns you, he wants something back: your stepdad, who charges you rent, and Alexia, who put something in your coffee. You run errands for the spray's ingredients, then spike their drinks the way they did it to you. Then you pick how to break each of them:
- The long game: five slow, gentle stages. You have to be in your male body, because they only trust the son and brother they know.
- Brute force: three heavy stages in any body. Every stage leaves a permanent side effect on the house.
Alexia fights back, and she can take your can off you. Your stepdad takes a pill of your choosing (Basic, Bimbo, Breeder or Plus) and becomes Diane. At the end, the Professor inspects the household you built for him, and you walk away as his pet or his apprentice.

CONTENT WARNINGS
- Mind control and conditioning: trigger words, trance, compulsion, forced drinking, Identity loss
- Needs the base game's Non-con setting ON. Turn it off and he never shows up (a run in progress just pauses until you turn it back on)
- Before any sex, everyone is awake and gets to choose. Family, friends and the secretary each get a real ask with a real no. Your own "no" to him is always there at first, but as his Control over you climbs it fades, gets harder to reach, and eventually disappears. That's the game.

WHAT YOU NEED
- X-Change Life 0.25.9 and Mod loader 2.7.x
- BOTH files: TheProfessor.xcl and TheProfessor-Media.xcl. The story file won't work without the media pack.
INSTALL
1. Remove any old versions of both files from the loader first
2. Add both new files (if you use Required Rent, load the Professor after it)
3. Rebuild
Don't skip step 1. The loader can quietly keep an old file. Old saves carry over fine.
SETTINGS (Menu, Mod Options, The Professor)
- On/Off master switch
- No identity game over: hitting Identity 0 makes you his instead of ending your run
- How often he calls: Rare, Normal or Often
- Brute force costs you too: makes the brute-force road riskier
- Test panel: a spoiler-heavy jump menu, best used on a throwaway save
COMPATIBILITY (don't panic, none of these are required!)
The Professor runs perfectly fine on the base game alone. You do NOT need any of the mods below. If you don't have one, nothing breaks: the bits made for that mod just quietly switch off.

Heads up: if your loader warns that Bar Tabs and Gloryholes wants a newer Beyond Bliss Club, that's between those two mods, not the Professor.
It's built for X-Change Life 0.25.9. The open-world update is on its way, and I'll update the mod for it once it's out.
ABOUT THE ART
A lot of scenes reuse art and clips that ship with X-Change Life, and all credit goes to the base game's team for those. Everything I've added has been run through the same art style, so it looks like it belongs in the game. A few scenes still use stand-in art until I find the right footage.
WHAT'S NEXT
Part 3 is already in the works, and it's going to get messy. There are a couple of people in Summer City who've been helping themselves to things that aren't theirs...

If your pictures ever suddenly stop loading mid-session: save, restart the mod loader, and reload the game. That's the loader, not the mod.
