About This File

This is a PalMagic compatibility ModelJSON designed to use Primal Pals together with the T-Box Pal Dressing All-in-One release available on Nexus Mods.

It preserves the Primal Pals male models while allowing compatible T-Box female and futa appearances to be selected.

This download includes only the compatibility ModelJSON and the PalMagic Manifest Generator.

It does not redistribute any models, textures, animations, or .pak files.

Important: Updating from Version 1.0

Version 1.0 required a modified male-only Primal Pals .pak.

That modified package is no longer required.

Before installing Version 1.1:

• Close Palworld.
• Remove the modified male-only Primal Pals .pak used by Version 1.0.
• Install a clean, official Primal Pals .pak.
• Remove the old Version 1.0 ModelJSON and any old modified Primal Pals files from previous releases.
• Remove the old ModelJSON from:

Palworld\Pal\Content\Paks\~mods\ModelJSON

Do not delete:

_PalMagicPersist_*.json

Then:

• Install the new Version 1.1 ModelJSON.
• Run:

__ManifestList_Create.bat

Do not keep both Version 1.0 and Version 1.1 ModelJSON files installed at the same time.

Duplicate configurations may cause duplicated selections, incorrect model priority, or loading conflicts.

What's New in Version 1.1

Version 1.0 removed every female Primal entry.

While this solved the primary conflict with T-Box, it also removed Primal female models for species that had no T-Box replacement.

Version 1.1 introduces selective conversion.

It:

• Preserves all Primal Pals male models.
• Uses the official, unmodified Primal Pals .pak.
• Removes only female ModelJSON entries that conflict with an available T-Box appearance.
• Preserves Primal female models whenever no compatible T-Box alternative exists.
• Allows compatible T-Box female and futa appearances to be selected.
• Includes the PalMagic Manifest Generator.

This greatly reduces situations where the dressing icon changes but the Pal remains stuck using the Primal model.

Requirements

Required:

 

• A compatible experimental version of UE4SS.

• The official, unmodified Primal Pals .pak.

This compatibility ModelJSON was created and tested only against the T-Box All-in-One Nexus release.

Split, partial, or repackaged versions of T-Box were not used during development or testing.

SCake, UniPalUI, and animation packs are optional and are not required for this compatibility ModelJSON.

Installation

1. Install UE4SS.
2. Install PalMagic.
3. Install the official Primal Pals .pak (v1.4.1).
4. Install the T-Box Pal Dressing All-in-One release.
5. Close Palworld.
6. Extract this archive into:

Palworld\Pal\Content\Paks\~mods

Allow Windows to merge the existing folders.

The resulting files should be:

Palworld\Pal\Content\Paks\~mods\ModelJSON\PrimalPals.json

Palworld\Pal\Content\Paks\~mods\ModelJSON\__ManifestList_Create.bat

Open the ModelJSON folder.

Run:

__ManifestList_Create.bat

Launch the game and test both:

• a Primal male model;
• a compatible T-Box appearance.

The Manifest Generator scans every compatible ModelJSON currently installed.

Do not copy _ManifestList.json from another installation.

Always generate a fresh manifest.

How It Works

PalMagic loads models from the official Primal Pals .pak.

This compatibility ModelJSON determines which appearances are available for each Pal.

T-Box remains responsible for providing its own female and futa appearance options.

Compatible T-Box appearances can be selected through the in-game dressing interface.

Some Pals may take a few seconds to update after being summoned or assigned to a base while the runtime framework reloads and reapplies the saved appearance.

Animation Compatibility

This package does not modify:

• Skeletons
• Animations
• Rigging
• Meshes
• Animation assets

Animations only work correctly when they were created for a skeleton compatible with the selected model.

Using an incompatible animation may result in a T-pose, severe mesh deformation, or other animation issues, regardless of this compatibility ModelJSON.

This package does not:

• Fix broken animations.
• Convert skeletons.
• Replace skeletons.
• Modify SCake.
• Guarantee compatibility with every animation pack.

During testing, specific Mozzarina animations from the Sibelyx Animation Pack caused severe mesh deformation.

The same behavior occurred without T-Box and without this compatibility ModelJSON, indicating that the issue is not caused by this package.

PalMagic Persistence

PalMagic stores each Pal's selected appearance using:

_PalMagicPersist_*.json

These files normally should not be deleted when updating.

If an old appearance continues to load after updating, simply select the desired appearance again through PalMagic or the T-Box dressing system.

Always back up your configuration files before replacing them or updating runtime frameworks.

This package only reorganizes the PalMagic ModelJSON configuration to improve compatibility between the two mods.
