Time Piece is an XCL mod that adds a new watch with a time-dilation effect. While equipped, it reduces the time cost of supported timed activities, starting at 10% and potentially improving as you use it.

⏩ What It Does

While you wear Time Piece, supported timed task durations are reduced. This means that you will have more time to get things done!

Supported timed tasks include:

Home morning activities that use the morning timer.
DynaPill salesman actions that advance the normal work clock.
SECRET-ary workday actions.
The SECRET-ary minigame.

After the watch has been worn for enough days, it can trigger a dream sequence that activates a unique compulsion, X-tra Service.

Once active, X-tra Service rewards you for spending at least twice the minimum required time on certain service quick-time events. Only one counted satisfaction can be recorded per day.

🔼 Enhancement

The Time Piece’s time-dilation benefit progresses in stages:

Base effect: Supported timed tasks take 10% less time while equipped.
After wearing it for awhile: Satisfy someone for double time in a quick-time event, and supported timed tasks take 15% less time while equipped.
After repeated X-tra Service satisfactions: Supported timed tasks take 20% less time while equipped.

If X-tra Service is active but not maintained, the benefit can fall back to the base 10% effect. If X-tra Service becomes a full addiction and is left unsatisfied for too long, affected timed tasks can take 20% longer until you satisfy it again.

Spending 14 consecutive days without the Time Piece equipped clears the compulsion.

Do not extract the files.
Load them with the mod loader utility.

🤝 Compatibility

Time Piece may conflict with other mods that:

Replace or alter the Wrist Craft watch menu.
Add watches through the same watch-menu passages.
Replace shared home or work time-passing behavior.
Replace SECRET-ary time-passing or quick-time check passages.

The mod was developed and tested for XCL 0.25.
