About This File

LetDown adds a self-contained lactation system to The Sims 4: a Sim fills with milk over time, her body responds, and that milk becomes something you can express, sell, cook with, or drink.

How it works

  • Get lactating. Order a Lactea Supplement from the mailbox (§15) and take it, or let it trigger automatically after giving birth. The Sim gains the Lactating trait and a fixed milk flavor.
  • Fullness builds over time. As milk accumulates, moodlet buffs escalate through Filling Up → Swollen & Aching → Ready to Burst, and her breasts visibly swell with the fullness — easing back down once she's drained.
  • Express the milk. Another Sim can Express Milk from a lactating Sim, producing a bottle in the inventory.
  • Do something with it. Bottles come in five flavors (Strawberry, Vanilla, Banana, Chocolate, Natural). Sell them on the occult market (vampires pay a premium for chocolate, mermaids for strawberry…), cook them into a Milky Delight, or serve a glass straight from the fridge's Breast Milk menu and drink it for a flavor buff.

Features

  • Time-based fullness loop with escalating moodlets
  • Dynamic breast growth that scales with fullness
  • Milk bottles (5 flavors), sellable and cookable
  • Fridge "Breast Milk" serve-a-glass submenu
  • Occult buyer market with flavor preferences
  • Post-partum auto-activation
  • WickedWhims integration (draining during tagged animations)

Companion mod — Hucow (early, in development)

There's an optional companion: Hucow (HL_Hucow), which requires LetDown. It's an early add-on that will keep growing over time. Right now it adds a custom "Lactation" need bar to the needs panel, so you can watch a Sim's fullness build at a glance. The full fantasy — an occult-style Sim that gradually transforms into a cow/hucow, with its own progression and traits — is planned for future updates and isn't in this build yet. Install LetDown first, then drop Hucow on top.

Requirements

  • The Sims 4 (base game)
  • WickedWhims — recommended. The body growth targets the nude body, and the mod hooks WW animations for draining.
  • Hucow additionally requires LetDown installed.

Installation

  1. Unzip.
  2. Drop the HL_LetDown folder (with HL_LetDown.ts4script + HL_LetDown.package) into your Mods folder.
  3. Make sure script mods are enabled in Game Options.
  4. (Optional) Add the HL_Hucow folder the same way for the companion need bar.

Translations (community)

The mod ships in English. Translations work as drop-in language packs: download a HL_LetDown_Translation_<LANG>.package, place it next to the mod, and that language is used — remove it and it falls back to English.

Want to translate it to your language? Grab the translation template, open it in Sims 4 Studio (STBL / Translation tab), replace the English text with yours, and save. That file is the translation — share it for others to use.

Compatibility & notes

  • Works alongside other lactation/body mods; the milk economy and buffs are self-contained.
  • English only out of the box; other languages via the community packs above.

What's New in Version 0.2.2

Released

This week was mostly about bug fixing. There is visual progress on the Cow Sim, but nothing ready to show yet.

Right now I'm working on a transformation that happens in phases:

phase 1 brings the first symptoms, like horns starting to grow; in phase 2 the skin gradually changes until it becomes full cow-hide; phase 3 is still in development.

Since this is an occult Sim, the workload is heavy — and between that and polishing the other mods, posts may slow down a bit. But I'll be actively working on this over the coming weeks to get the next part of the mod out.

  • Fixed: body and breast slider values could appear to reset to the default body shape while a Sim was under an appearance override (costumes, certain WickedWhims states). The morph now stays visible in those situations — this should address the remaining "my sliders/body reset" reports from 0.2.1.
  • The Settings menu title now shows the mod version (e.g. "LetDown — Settings (v0.2.2)"), so it's easy to check which version you're running when reporting issues.
  • Internal groundwork for upcoming features.

Optional — Debug Companion. Only needed if you're reporting a problem: drop HL_LetDown_Debug.ts4script into Mods next to the mod, reproduce the issue, and attach Mods\LetDown_data\letdown.log to your report. You can also type letdown.version in the cheat console to check your installed version. Delete the file when you're done — the mod doesn't need it to run.

Console commands (requires the optional Debug Companion; open the console with Ctrl+Shift+C):

  • letdown.version — shows the installed mod version. Include this in any bug report.
  • letdown.give_pill — instantly grants the Lactating trait to the selected Sim (same effect as taking the supplement). Useful if a birth mod (e.g. Pandasama) skips the automatic activation.
  • letdown.set_supply <0-100> — sets the milk level of the selected Sim (e.g. letdown.set_supply 100).
  • letdown.toggle_enabled — turns lactation on/off for the selected Sim without the supplement.
  • letdown.body_cleanup — safe cleanup of leftover body-slider data from older versions (run once if your Sim was affected by the 0.2 slider bug).
  • letdown.list_body_keys — prints your Sim's body slider data to the log (attach the log if support asks for this).
  • letdown.panic — emergency stop: halts all mod activity until the next game load. Use if something looks wrong mid-session.
  • letdown.set_logging on|off — toggles the log file.
