The anthropophage is a new class, a shapeshifting hero that absorbs material from its enemies to empower itself. The hero's first skin brings alive Sylvia from konosuba in darkest dungeon to follow along the main heroines. My first mod, still WIP. Mostly works. Considering making her a boss instead. Feedback sought after. Images made with AI. 

 

known issues:

All animations besides combat/walk/idle exist but do not currently work due to some kind of naming/reference issue.

 

 

Strategy:
-Her buffs, particularly from absorb, last quite a while and give her really good damage so it's a good idea to transform a lot in fights when you need lots of damage.

 

-Her main downsides are sustaining her health and dealing with the self stress of her abilities. Healer hero of some kind is recommended.

 

-Her transformed abilities, particularly clap, are very powerful and worth transforming for.

 

She takes a small amount of damage and chance for bleed when transforming back, which can be triggered through putrify or will otherwise happen regardless at the end of the fight. A plague doctor, bandages, or some other way to heal bleed is recommended.

 

-She also has an ability that increases healing received, and it lasts long enough that you can also get really high healing values from eating food after a fight--she just loves to eat!

What's New in Version 1.3.0

Released

Sorry for taking so long, I was exploring a lot of ideas and couldn't really figure out what I wanted the actual class to work like, I ended up settling on an abomination type character that benefits from long fights with more raw damage and sustain in turn for a more precarious health situation, needs a lot more testing and work, but all the animations have mostly been locked in finally. I'm not really happy with how she plays yet and may totally redesign her kit. Any suggestions would be appreciated. 

 

The Anthropophage:

A shapeshifting creature that absorbs material from its enemies to empower itself at the cost of being unstable. 

 

Problems:

-All animations except for idle/combat/walk are there but don't currently work.

[I am doing my best to fix them but if anyone has any advice on how to fix this let me know. I think the problem is that I based it on abomination and there's something I'm not getting on how to name/reference stuff, but all her abilities do work]

 

-No voicelines

 

-No Trinkets

 

-No camp abilities,

 

-No sound sound

 

I am working on completing the class. 

 

 

Some of the abilities as implemented do not fully encompass the accurate vision, but most of them work and she is a reasonably viable character, bordering on overpowered. 

 

Here is a description of her abilities. Her transformed mode is more powerful compared to her base abilities, but she will take damage when exiting, and you will have to exit at the end of each fight if used. 

 

2 modes:
first mode, access to abiltiies 1-4
second mode, accessed by using absorb, access to abilities 5-8, changes sprite, turn back into form 1 with putrify

 

Staggered: new mark, meant to placed on 


Attack 1: absorb 
 -free action
 -cooldown for 3 turns
 -weak melee attack ranks 1 + 2,
 -75% damage
 +8% health until end of fight
 +6% damage until end of fight
 +12% damage to staggered for 4 turns


attack 2: assimilate 
 -+4 stress
 -heal for 4-7 
 -+crit 5% for 3 turns, + 1 speed for 2 turns
 -+45% damage to ejaculate for 3 turns, +75% damage to barbed skin for 4 turns


attack 3: torrent
 -shoots out material as ranged attack, stun,
 -attacks ranks 2, 3, or 4


Attack 4: kiss
 -melee pull 2 attack
 -heals on hit for 2-4
 -attacks ranks 2 + 3
 -applies staggered mark 


Attack 5: putrify
 -attacks ranks 1 + 2 + 3 + 4
 -+8 stress
 -10% health
 -+30% to bleeding
 -40% damage
 -+5 dodge for 3 turns
 -+6 accuracy for 2 turns
 -+100% healing received for 2 turns


Attack 6: clap
 -armor piercing
 -+50% damage to enemies with "staggered" mark
 -attacks ranks 1 + 2 + 3


Attack 7: bristle
 -attack, attacks ranks 3 + 4
 -+5 stress
 -10 accuracy
 -applies riposte 3 turns
 -30% damage 
 -applies 2-5 bleed 


Attack 8: reknit
 -self damage for 35% of health 
 -remove debuffs 
 -10 stress
 +70% damage buff overall for 3 rounds 
 +2 speed for rounds 
 -gives 1 block
