REQUIREMENTS & LOAD ORDER
Enable in Mod Manager top → bottom:

Also required: The Warden and the Paunch DLC must be owned — the mod reuses Grom's cauldron and Eltharion's prison engine code.
Mod should work fine with SFO, Corrupted Landmarks
CURRENTLY PRESENT
- 15 alchemy recipes — 10 standard dishes + 5 secret recipes, each with custom art and story
- 25 unique ingredients across five ingredient groups, unlocked through battles, dilemmas, Sybarite trades, sea caravans
- Jade Dungeon — Eltharion's prison re-imagined for Cathay: capture, execute, indoctrinate, interrogate, facility upgrades, Mist of Slaanesh
- Chamber of Excess — Throt's Flesh Lab with Growth Vat batches, unit/monster augmentation, and Exquisite Ichor (Mutagen) on the resource bar
- Lord ascension — Cathay lords corrupt into Slaaneshi forms at level 1, then ascend to exalted daemons at rank 15
- Blessed Units recruitment tab — 25+ custom units (mechs, flyers, ogres, beasts) recruited with Mutagen; augmentable in the lab
- Two landmark arcs — corrupted Skaven (Vermillion Veil) and corrupted Ogre (Hanyu Crucible) with capture missions + settlement landmarks
- Campaign start swaps — neighboring Imperial Wardens / Celestial Loyalists replaced by two minor Slaaneshi migrant factions
CORRUPTION PROGRESSION — WHEN THINGS UNLOCK
Mechanics gate on Lazy's Miaoying Corruption Progression stages. Without Lazy loaded, systems stay at base tier.
Stage 1 — Jade Dungeon (prison panel, Jade Cage capture, Binding Essence, facility ring) · Lord corruption dilemmas when recruiting Cathay lords
Stage 2 — Miao Cauldron (cooking HUD, ingredients, recipes, milestones) · Sybarite Peddler · Grudge / Ogre capture missions issued
Stage 3 — Chamber of Excess (Flesh Lab, Growth Vat, augmentation) · post-battle Growth Juice · Exalted lord ascension at rank 15
Stage 4 — Cults and their construction through Alchemist hero new UI button, Underdeep teleportation mechanic for lvl 5 cults
PORTED GROM'S CAULDRON MECHANIC
• Native COOKING feature pinned to Cathay / Miao Ying — same engine panel, Miao-skinned UI and animation
• 15 recipes with unique icons and lord/army/faction effects
• 25 ingredients with passive faction and army bonuses; Lua bridge applies passives on Cathay (vanilla Grom passives are faction-locked)
• Milestone tracker on the resource bar — cook 5 / 10 / 15 dishes for escalating ascension tiers
• 5 secret recipes require a signature key ingredient
PORTED ELTHARION'S PRISON MECHANIC — JADE DUNGEON
• Full Athel Tamarha prison panel reskinned for Cathay — upgrade ring, prisoner cells, execute / indoctrinate / interrogate
• Jade Cage army ability (Warden's Cage equivalent) — capture enemy generals in battle when you have an empty cell
• Autoresolve and manual battle capture; can imprison non-rebel faction lords if their faction survives
• Binding Essence pooled resource (engine: Warden's Supply) spent on facility upgrades
• Legendary prisoners yield stronger Daemonette rewards
• Facility upgrades rethemed: Pleasure Host Barracks (Corruptors chain), Damned Training Grounds (Ecstatic Iron Devil), Blissful Smithery (Fleshfire Cauldron Mech), Torture Chamber (Exquisite Ichor per turn), Blissful Defence (Prince's Blessings)
• Mist of Slaanesh — attrition on enemies, buffs on friendly armies; Shadows in the Jade Veil composite scenes spread from upgraded settlements across Cathay
PORTED THROT'S FLESH LAB — CHAMBER OF EXCESS
• Growth Vat with five upgrade clusters — batch rewards include Soil corrupted units and Blessed pool stock
• Unit Augmentation and Monster Augmentation on all added and eligible original units
• New flesh-lab upgrade nodes and Exquisite Ichor costs
• Exquisite Ichor (Mutagen) added to the campaign resource panel — spent on Blessed recruitment and lab actions
• Post-battle Growth Juice at corruption stage 3+
CATHAY LORD ASCENSION
• Stage 1+ — recruiting a Cathay lord prompts corruption: Magistrate → Chaos Sorcerer Lord, Shugengan → Herald of Slaanesh, Celestial General → Chaos Lord (Yin/Yang variants)
• Stage 3+ — corrupted lords at rank 15+ may ascend to Daemon Prince or Exalted Keeper of Secrets (rank halved on accept)
• Each ascended lord gets a Mutagen skill line and a fully replaced battle skill tree (Unyielding, Sure Aim, Blades of the Bastion, Fast Hands, rank-7 upgrades apply to mod units)
• Corrupted lords are hidden from normal recruitment — transformation is dilemma-driven only
LANDMARKS & CAMPAIGN MAP
Vermillion Veil — corrupted Skaven (Clan Grudge units)
• At corruption stage 2, a mission fires — capture the target settlement for a one-time army and unlock the landmark chain
• Landmark building recruits Vermillion Veil skaven: ratling, mirror vermin, noise chanters, chariot, and Sybarite lord
Hanyu Crucible — corrupted Ogres (Froeb roster)
• Same stage-2 mission pattern — capture settlement, receive army, build landmark for ogre recruitment
• Chaos Ogre Tyrant, bruiser hero ascension, dual fighters, warmongers, gnoblar forsaken, and more
Campaign start
• Imperial Wardens and Celestial Loyalists sent to North and South Poles — replaced by two minor Slaaneshi migrant factions from the north and south poles
BLESSED UNITS RECRUITMENT POOL
• Dedicated Blessed Units mercenary tab — stock earned from cauldron milestones, Growth Vat batches, Jade Dungeon facilities
• Each Blessed unit costs Exquisite Ichor to recruit and can be Unit Augmented or Monster Augmented
• Roster includes custom beasts, flyers, Slaanesh artillery, Chaos Dwarf mechs, ogres, Preytongs, Pleasureseekers, and more — 25+ units in miao-assets.pack, units are adopted from respective modders in credits, you don't need the original mods.
UNDERCITY CULTS
• Alchemist hero can now construct cults under your settlements with new UI button
• Fight off invasions, the once caused from appearing threats and others caused by upgrading the main building post stage 2, to stop appearing threats you need to fill all buildings slots with buildings, to stop the main threats you need to fight off from 3 to 5 invasions (randomized for each region)
• Cult buildings provide factionwide bonuses, as well as special army local abilities
• Some level 5 cults allow teleportation between them, zoom out the map to see possible locations
POSSIBLE ISSUES
- This mod replaces Eltharion's original prison mechanic and reskins Grom's cauldron UI when playing Cathay — do not expect vanilla Yvresse/Greenskins prison or Grom cooking to behave unchanged
- Throt's mutation on other factions should remain safe
- Resource bar clutter: many HUD widgets can crowd the top bar. Some users report relief from also enabling:
- Without Lazy progression loaded, corruption stages do not advance — cauldron/prison/lab stay locked
- Without Soil pack, recipe unit transforms and ascension battle abilities will not apply (mod logs a warning on campaign start)
KNOWN ISSUES (WORK IN PROGRESS)
- Minor UI inconsistencies across cauldron / prison / lab panels
- Placeholder portrait (PH) on some lords in Flesh Lab augmentation screen
- Pleasure Host High Command facility still marked in development
- Ongoing Jade Dungeon text/facility polish — report anything still showing Yvresse / Tor Yvresse / Mistwalker wording
