About This File
Fixes Khajiit caravans not travelling between cities and being perpetually stuck in one location for users of specific game setup.
Â
============================
This is a very niche fix to a niche problem, so most likely it will not apply to 99% of users.
Â
Read carefully below to see if it's relevant to you.
Â
No tl;dr, just fucking read all of it.

Â
You need to have the following setup on your game:
Â
- Downgraded SSE 1.5.97 using Full Patcher, not Best of Both Worlds
- USSEP 4.2.5b - the last version that works on 1.5.97 and does not require CC content as a master. No link. File's been deleted from official sources. Use a search engine of your choice, ask around or look thorough Request&Search section of this forum.
- Vanilla Script Micro Optimisations 1.17
Â
Â
Background info:
Apparently there is a discrepancy in script files between USSEP 4.2.5b and VSMO, particularly in caravanleaderscript.psc and caravanleaderscript.pex files. I'm not going to claim I understood all that technical jargon I came across when looking for solution, however the bottom line is:
VSO overwrites those files with their own version and that causes the issue because it doesn't match with other scripts from USSEP. Later versions of USSEP allegedly fix this problem, but if you're like me and refuse to bow down to Fishing Edition, and use USSEP 4.2.5b and VSMO 1.17, you will likely encounter it. If you do not, stop reading and ignore this mod.
Â
The fix is to extract said script files from USSEP BSA and install them as loose files, overwriting VSMO.
Which is exactly what this mod does.
Â
============================
Â
Installation:
Install with mod manager and have it load after USSEP and VSMO.
This download contains no plugin, just script files, you will need to set the rule manually in your mod manager to have it overwrite/deploy after both mods, ideally as early as possible, right after them.
Â
It can be installed at any time, but the fix will not work on an already running save. You will need to have started a new game for it to apply.
By new, I mean quit-to-desktop-launch-Skyrim new. Due to how Skyrim engine works, scripts may linger if you do not do a full game restart, thus it may or may not cause the issue to persist.
