The Lovers Mod - Sexual Orientation Traits for the Sims 4 Basic Game 1.0.0

Hello, I am Digit Project Art and I create special trait mods for the sims 4 game (among other stuff) - mainly for the basic game.

However, all mods are tested with the latest Sims 4 updates and I never use any extra special scripts that could make the game to crush.

 

Anyway, about this mod. It is a series of 6 different sexual orientation traits for sims.

The traits are primary CAS, which means that you use them like you would use, for example, the Genius trait.

 

Now, you also have the option to add the traits as Supplementary, and the best part is that you won't have to reapply the traits to your Sims if you have already done it. However, don't forget to remove the CAS Primary Traits along with the script file in order to add the New Supplementary Traits Package and the Script File, before starting the game. However, keep in mind that Supplementary Traits won't let you know the Trait of the Sim when you use the friendly social of "Discuss Sexual Orientation" with another Sim.

 

I created the traits with the greatest of respect for any kind of sexual preferences that users/gamers may have.

I truly believe that love knows no boundaries, but that it also should not be exploited or ridiculed.

 

Follow this guide of Traits and Descriptions, to assign the traits the right way;

1. Bisexual Boy. Bisexual Boys are males who are attracted by Bisexual Girls, Bisexual Boys, Gay Lovers, Straight Girls and vice versa.
2. Bisexual Girl. Bisexual Girls are females who are attracted by Bisexual Girls, Bisexual Boys, Lesbian Females, Straight Boys and vice versa.
3. Gay Lover. Gay Lovers are males attracted by Gay Lovers or Bisexual Males and vice versa.
4. Lesbian Lover. Lesbian Lovers are females attracted by Lesbian Lovers, Bisexual Girls and vice versa.
5. Straight Boy. Straight Boys are attracted by Straight Girls, Bisexual Girls and vice versa.
6. Straight Girl. Straight Girls are attracted by Straight Boys, Bisexual Males and vice versa.

 

I tried and managed to block various romantic interactions between traits that don't match based on my mod, but then I decided to unblock them

because it basically has no point.

The Sims 4 Game due to its mechanics will still manage to increase romance between, let's say, a straight male and another straight male.

Especially, if you use the Free Love Neighborhood Action Plan, I'm sure that you know what I mean...

This unfortunate development, however, led me to create an even more interesting mod, in the process.

If you use mods to block romantic interactions, you won't really find great use of this mod, unless you only enjoy seeing the happy buff

between 2 sexually compatible sims.

 

So, I decided to create apart from a happy buff between the sims also embarrassment and tense buffs because of their sexual incompatibility.

You can have a look on the gallery and I will let you discover the rest on your own.

The mod also includes the social interaction on the Friendly Pie Menu Category, called; Discuss Sexual Orientation, when one sim can discover, the other sim's preference.

 

How it works in detail;

• Sims who are compatible create a buff of happiness to other sims.
• Sims who are incompatible and have a Romantic Interest, are Sweethearts or Lovebirds will have an embarrassment buff between them.
• And Sims who are incompatible with Lovers or Soulmates create a tense buff between them.

The Buff will stop working after 2-3 hours if one of the sims simply Ask to Just Be Friend with the other incompatible Sim.

However, if they keep remaining in a meaningless romantic situation, then the buff will keep appearing quite often for about 2 sim hours.
