I know it is too early for new diary but I had to share this with you. I can understand that some people are proud at their nationality, culture, language and national influence and achievements on global level, but some things and some people should be more flexible and adopt to the local customs and way of doing things instead of forcing their own. So, what happened today? My Prince and Ivy came home very upset. They quickly kissed me and they dressed in sport outfit and both kicked kicking bag until they emptied all frustrations out. Then my Ivy told me about extraordinary e.b. meeting while I was sitting in my Prince’s lap. The main topic was new Boss’s substitute who came on two years contract to HELP and train our future hotel manager which is Tina. Mister “XXX” guaranteed for him as very skillful and experienced person in tourism and hotel management in the States. Unfortunately, my Prince was right about him: he will be hard to work with and they will have problems with him because he didn’t come to help and assist, but to rule and lead. How it started?
All e.b. members gathered in Boss’s office and Tina introduced Paul to them and them to him. She described their responsibilities, duties and position of each of them. Then she gave him financial reports and accomplishments for last three years and present and future plans for the Hotel business. After brief look on it, he said that although reports are positive and promising he will do several necessary changes. He'll cut wages to all personnel and workers, reduce financial bonuses to the workers of the month for 70%, fire few cleaners, maids and other stuff, cancel Antonio’s security agency and hire cheaper one, extend working hours for every worker and similar shit due to reducing the expenses of the Hotel. Seeing that the Hotel paid for my education and that I do not work for the Hotel anymore (although I'm external associate), he demanded refund or he’ll sue me. My Ivy told me that every single member of e.b. protested and disagreed with the changes telling him that he can't do that for he is responsible to the executive board who opposes his ideas. The man showed as total authoritarianist and demanded total submission to his authority or he will dismiss executive board for good. Everyone was pissed off at him, especially my Prince and Tina. My Prince told him that according to the agreement our Boss made with Mister “XXX”, Paul’s purpose of coming is to train new hotel manager, help and support OUR projects and communicate, advertise and expand our tourism overseas and to cooperate with executive board. Paul replied that it is true but since we are 50 years behind Americans in business in global, his duty is to teach us, guide us and improve our business plans and strategy rejecting our ideas that confronting his. My Ivy told me they had very loud quarrel and when my Prince saw that Paul is very stubborn and doesn’t want to back off a single inch, he immediately called Mister “XXX”.
When he answered the phone, my Prince put him on the speaker and he apologized for calling him late at night (10 hours of time difference). Then he asked him:
- Mister “XXX”, all executive board members, future hotel manager and mister Paul is here and they all listening our conversation. Now, would you be kind and tell again: what was the purpose of Boss’s substitute coming and doing?
Mister “XXX”: Well, Prince, good to hear your voice again, son. Say, how are you lovely wives? I heard Eva is pregnant …. (He knows about everything because Boss and he regularly communicate via video chats and mails).
Prince: They are fine, thanks for asking.
Mister “XXX”: Glad to hear that, my dear young man!!! Give them my love.
Prince: I will, thank you, sir.
Mister “XXX”: Now, Paul’s duties are: to train, to help and to assist your future hotel manager. He is also responsible for advertising your Hotel, projects and plans, serve as the bridge between your Hotel and our business partners and investors and make reports about your progress. He is obligated to tightly co-work with your executive board and provide help in suggestions, ideas, but not making final decisions on his own. He also should presides the meetings with international partners and clients with your future hotel manager.
Prince: So, as I understand correctly, he is NOT permitted and authorized to make decision on his own ignoring executive board, changing things according to his will and run his own agenda?
Mister “XXX”: NOT AT ALL, Prince ….. NOT AT ALL!!! I sent him to help you, not to run his own business and he knows it.
Prince: Thank you, mister “XXX”.
Then my Prince explained to him about the situation and that Paul is breaking the agreement bypassing executive board and introducing the changes that will only harm the Hotel business. Mister “XXX” was shocked and he said that he had no idea about Paul’s new “vision” and practice. Then he said to Paul that he has to stick to the original agreement and do nothing on his own but follow our business plan and be submitted to our executive board for he wasn’t send to take Hotel over, but to help. Paul was offended and he insulted all members of e.b. saying:
- With great respect, mister “XXX”, I can’t do it. All I see here is a group incompetent and unexperienced people who try to play business but have no idea what they are doing and where they’re going …..
Hearing it my Prince said:
- We hoped you will be of the great help to us, mister Paul. We see now that you only want to do your own thing here which is not acceptable. Therefore, according to authority and powers given to me by the Hotel manager, executive board and the contract to fire any worker or member of the executive board based on the facts that such people doing bad to the Hotel business, I momentarily dismiss you from the position of the hotel manager. You will leave the Hotel at once or you will be escorted by force.
Mister “XXX” supported my Prince and Guy 3 approached to Paul and escorted him out of the Hotel. He will go to Zagreb and book for the first flight to USA. Everyone applauded to my Prince and congratulated him for his decision. Mister “XXX” apologized to all members of the executive board and he promised he will severely punish him for disobedience, position and authority abuse when comes back. He promised that he will come within a month with new person whom he personally will introduce to them and sign his job description, duties and position and who will be completely team worker responsible and submissive to the authority of the executive board.
I have no words to tell you how proud I am at my Prince. Boss was absolutely right when giving him such power and authority because he knew my Prince will protect our workers, Hotel business and goals and will not let anyone enforce own will but the benefits of the Hotel. I told you before; if I was ruining the Hotel business or I misled and tricked executive board or the boss, he will fire me too. Honesty, honor and word keeping are very strong qualities my Prince has beside many others. I showered my luvs with kisses and after having quick sex with them, I wrote this diary so you may know that THERE ARE people in this word who aren’t rotten and corrupted and will fight for justice.
