The time has come for Mortimer to take his daughter to work at the morgue. He didn't really want to do it, but blood is blood and Cassandra has more of a mortician in her genes than he ever wanted to admit. He knew Bella wouldn't be happy about it. But Cassandra gets along better with her stepmother than she does with her own mother, and Linda is very understanding of her wanting to learn the trade that runs in the family. By helping Linda and her burned-out dad, Cassandra will learn things before she goes to study mortuary science, and that will be a plus for her.
