Calista NELIS is 17

 

She was not wanted by her mother, who became pregnant by a passing man. Her mother took out all her frustration on her daughter, making her the victim of abuse, hence the scar on Calista's face and the burn mark on her back

At the age of 7, she was taken away from her mother and left with her father, whom she did not know

 

 

Peter can't stay put, he's constantly on the move. Calista grows up with a father who takes care of her, but without any ties, used to changing countries, schools and friends

 

At 16, the life she had always struggled with no longer suited her at all. She returned to her home town and her father bought her a small flat. She enrolled at secondary school, determined to get into a literature faculty

 

 

From her travels, Calista learnt a great deal and quickly became interested in the art of many places. Literature is clearly the field that appeals to her, and she has been writing for as long as she can remember.

 

 

It's with words that she lets her mind run free, that she dreams, that she escapes...

 

 

 

Now that she has a ‘permanent home’, she can let her love of cats go and has adopted a little female called Lucifer

 

 

But she also enjoys male company from time to time, as long as it's fleeting

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Calista doesn't let things get to her head, she lives from day to day and takes things as they come. Writing is the only thing she takes seriously
