Lakeside Village is a place lost in the middle of the countryside but very much alive. 

 

 

In those days, villages were often difficult to supply, but this one is very well situated, on the edge of the lake and a lush forest. The local lord is not very demanding and the villagers lived peacefully. 

 

 

Speaking of villagers, here are the ones who live here and whose adventures we'll be following.

First of all, let me introduce you to the TAVERN family. 

 

 

Raoul and Phelipote own the tavern. Raoul is also the villagers' spokesman to the lord. If the villagers have any complaints, it's up to him to get the message across, and vice versa. Phelipote is a wise old woman who gives good advice, but her ears are too curious! She always wants to know everything about everyone in the village! 

 

As for Manfred, he's a 17-year-old who dreams of becoming an archer! It's a real passion for him, but his grandfather won't hear of it... The old couple had a son, Manfred's father, who died joining an army, and they don't want to go through that again... Manfred, frustrated, understands his grandparents' pain, but can't bring himself to take over from them at the tavern.

Willard BLACKSMITH is a strong, very tall 25-year-old man, a real force of nature! He's the village blacksmith and loves his job to bits! He lives with his dog, Trusty, although many people wonder what he's good for (animals were mainly used for work in those days). Willard is secretly in love with a beautiful young girl.

Clothilde TAYLOR, 20, works as a seamstress. She has her own workshop where she mends and creates clothes, household linen, work aprons, etc... She is very talented and her work is much appreciated. She's a sweet and delicate young woman, always smiling.

Alboflède HOOKER works as a prostitute. At just 22 years of age, she is fully committed to this profession, which she has chosen to pursue! She has a strong character and never lets herself be talked down to, despite her low standard of living. She remains cheerful and optimistic.

Tyblad HEALER is a mysterious man about whom little is known. Even Phelipote can't discover his secrets! In any case, he's a wonderful doctor who has been treating everyone without discrimination since he arrived in the village a few months ago.

The BAKER family run the village bakery. Frédégonde, 28, and Albrecht, 30, form a close-knit couple, looking after their two children, Arégonde, 10, who is lively and determined, and Dalébor, 3, who is shy but very active. Frédegonde is also expecting a third child.

And finally, Sigebert and Juliote, aged 24 and 19, are newlyweds who look after the farm on the edge of the village. Sigeberte is an excellent gardener who can grow anything, and Juliote has a passion for animals, which she takes great care of. They can't wait to start a family!
