There wasn’t much happening during the weekend. It was ordinary family quality time together except for one: a family discussion yesterday morning after one incident on Saturday night. Before I tell you about it, I must tell you about our children first. They are so bright. After learning Croatian Alphabet (all 30 letters), counting to 100, doing simple math (addition and subtraction), and speaking Italian, they learned the Italian alphabet (all 21 letters) and how to write simple sentences. We are so proud of them. My luvs showered me with kisses saying that our children are smart because of me (which is partially true) but the real truth is that my luvs are too modest. They aren’t dumb at all and Precious is almost good as her brother although being a year younger than him. She is their daughter and she carries their genes. By the way, she also (unintentionally) learned how to melt her tata’s heart when she cuddly says “tataaa”. Oh, my, she is so cute and my Prince enjoys hearing it. Her brother doesn’t like it for he thinks she is manipulative and tricky, and he always nods his head as a sign of disapproval when she does it. The three of us think she isn’t manipulative but she just loves how it sounds and she likes to see her tata’s big satisfied and happy smile when he hears it. Anyway, time to tell you about the incident and family discussion.

We didn’t go out on Saturday night but we visited my Fran and Stipe. Stipe needed to talk to my Prince about certain problems with certain people in Antonio’s security agency. Since physical attacks and fights among employees aren’t allowed, he wanted my Prince to talk with a few guys that Stipe has broken relationships. (My Prince is a member of e.b. in Antonio’s agency and very well accepted and respected by the workers. That’s why Stipe asked him for help.) He wants to fix it before it escalates and comes to Antonio. Anyway, after 2 and half hours of quality conversation, we went home. My Prince promised him he will do everything in his power. I was driving us home. Wanting to catch the green wave, I speed up breaking the speed limit rule, and couldn’t catch the last green light in the raw, I passed through the red light. The police patrol that was hidden went after me and stopped me after a few km. Hearing my last name and recognizing my Prince on the back seat with my Ivy, one of them said:

- Although you broke two traffic rules which require taking your driving license for one month and paying a high penalty, we will let you go Mrs. Eva because you are Mr. Prince’s wife and because you are very beautiful …

Oh, my … My Prince didn’t like it.

Prince (exiting the car): No, this is not right, sir!

(Thinking that my Prince didn’t like his giving compliment to me, he started to mutter apologizing for being too open).

Prince: I do not resent you complimenting my wife’s beauty, but I do resent you for letting her go without penalty. That’s not fair to the other offenders. As far as I know, police sometimes let go of drivers for speeding, but you never forgive passing through the red light. Mrs. Eva isn’t an exception. She broke the law and she should be punished. If you don’t do it, I will let the public know about you being biased!

Then he entered the car and my Ivy showered him with kisses saying that he did the right thing. My Prince was right. That’s him: being fair and just. I know he would react the same if he offended the law. Anyway, I got the tickets for speeding and crossing through the red light (2000 Euros) and they took my driver’s license. They apologized to me at the end and they let us go. My Prince continued to drive. I kissed him on the cheek and said I respect his interfering and that I am not angry with him because I know that’s the way he is. Anyway, we arrived home, took a shower, and had our evening routine and sex before we slept.

Yesterday morning during our family coffee, I told our family members about what happened last night and how my Ivy and I are very proud of my Prince for reacting justly and fairly. Well, everyone expected that knowing my Prince but they didn’t commend his reaction except dad Boss and my mom. They criticized me for being a reckless driver, except my dad who attacked my Prince saying that he shouldn’t interfere and that thanks to him our family budget is shorter at 2000 Euros. We split into two groups: those who support my Prince’s reaction to the police and those who didn’t. Anyway, it was very heated while he was silent and just observed. Then in one moment he stood up, asked for our attention, and said:

- I will not defend myself. All of you know me very well and you could expect something like that …. You know I wouldn’t resent any of you if you would do the same to me. I would be angry with you if you wouldn’t …. Yes, our family budget is shorter by 2000 Euros, but we’ll cover it. Eva will work overtime and Ivy and I will help her. Seeing changed Eva fills my heart with joy. If she learned and accepted that getting away from the law and covering her mischief using her beauty is wrong, you should respect that and be proud of her ….. I think it is time now that you accept the way the three of us live! …..

Dad: No, son! That’s how YOU live and you force our daughters to live according to your laws and rules….!

Dad Boss: I disagree with you, Livio!

My Ivy and I stood up immediately and we said:

- That’s not true! ….. Our husband doesn’t force us on anything. He lives the way he thinks is right and we willingly follow him for his lifestyle is right and fair! …. You owe him an apology. If you don’t apologize to him now, you should leave!

There was dead silence for a few moments and then my dad approached my Prince, hugged him, kissed him on the cheeks, and apologized. The others, who attacked him, apologized too. Dad Boss hugged him firmly and tapping his back said that he is very proud of him. Anyway, all ended well and we had a great time before we went after our duties. We’ll do everything in our power to teach our children to follow their tata’s example.
