Reducing issues when starting a new game

What I usually do for a new game is this:

1- Enable only non sexlab mods and start a new game.

Wait until all messages are done, save and quit.

(Use Live another life if possible, that simplifies the process a lot)

2- Enable only the major sexlab frameworks (SexLab, Zaz Animation Pack, SexLab aroused, Devious Devices..)

Load, wait for all messages to be done, save and quit.

3- Enable all other SexLab mods.

Load, wait for all messages and save.

Go over MCM menus configurations only at this stage.

Save again when you are done.

In the console - type: save cleanstart

This is your base game, configured and ready to go.

This method should prevent most issues with MCM.

honestly i just let everything go first try.

  • start new game, instantly close race menu without even naming the character.
  • get some tea, let all the things do their things.
  • come back, save, showracemenu, go.

your method is good for rooting out bugs though.

one thing to remember is that Debug.Notification is throttled. this means you will continue to see messages scroll by in it minutes after everything has finished, just because it queues up all the messages so it can fade them in and out. it also throttles duplicate messages.

I generally start the game (with all mods loaded), create my character, exit racemenu, then let it sit for a minute or two. I usually watch the debug notifications to see if anything doesn't show up that should.

I then exit the game and go back in, because some mods like to do other stuff on the first (but not subsequent) game loads, not game create (I'm looking at you, SD+ and sexlab framework).

Well, I used this method, and I got the old infinite loading screen after the last wave of mods was enabled. Task Manager says Skyrim isn't responding at that point.

nevermind

Well.. as usual with Skyrim, I shared what works for me.

There is no guarantee it will work with your particular mix of mod.

I recently ran into a rash of infinite loads on a saved game.

Turns out it was because I saved the game too quickly ... before something was done getting set up.

You can see that for example if you save your game while NPCs are busy with SexLab scenes. That's usually a kiss of death for a save.

I am not saying this is what happened to you but an example of how it can happen.

i have a little problem.

whenever i start a new game and setup everything i get a lot of scenarios and when that scenario is done i go back to my last save in the prison, but then i get a lot less scenarios (misc. and prostitution etc.) and if i do a new game and setup again the same thing happens.
