skyrim Colossal Soul Gems as a mechanic
gwyllgi replied to gwyllgi's topic in Skyrim General Discussion
I haven't played oblivion in over a decade, my fault, what im asking is would there be any mechanical issues with creating a a new kind of soul gem with higher charges that can be used in place of the Enchanting exploit. -
In Oblivion at the end of the Mages guild quest you acquire a rare "Collossal" Soulgem that acts as a spiritual shield against magic so you can beat mannimarco by drowning him. I'm wondering, from the perspective of a invalid mind you, why cant Skyrim have larger Soul gems that carry more charge? From a lore perspective the dwemer had devices in skyrim to alter Soul Gems, and from a mechanics perspective, artificial but stronger soul gems would be locked off from base gameplay, they would also allow players to make more efficient weapons to work with Double Enchantments. Has anyone tried it? Is it so alien of a idea that no one came to the conclusion yet, or is it impossible to pull off without introducing undue stability issues?

when i talked about reverting to a earlier version i was asking if perhaps my current version of Skyrim AE and skse may be too advanced for the mods im using, i never ran into it before because i don't buy bethesda games before their goty on PC but i thought that it could be a possibility. because other than that i don't know what my options are.

Okay so after i discovered no sexlab mod allowed me to have biological children i could make Jarls using Conquest, i ripped them out and am replacing them with graphics and animation mods. At this point things are running unusually smoothly thanks to numerous optimizations that didn't exist the last time i tried this. However, for some odd reason 3 things are going wrong. 1. Vanilla Hair remake, the hair stretches into the distance. 2. Vanilla Hair remake for NPCs crashes the game, despite what the list says is not installed as it crashes on character load. 3. Artesian Cloaks of Skyrim isn't animating the capes, instead they hang below the PC crumpled like bacon. 4. For maximum fun, Vanilla Hair remake for NPCs crashes so hard it doesn't generate a crash log. Thank you for any assistance

Well, in my first post i explained my problem with fertility mode. 1. When your child grows up they become a summon not a NPC. 2. You can only have one active at a time. If fertility mode or anyone that promoted it had explained that to me i never would've downloaded it. I need something that actually follows through on the whole have a kid who can grow up thing.

I play skyrim with the purpose of having long term effects in game, one of my favorite is having children especially since i have follower mods and don't like most of the base game followers. Fertility mode, as cool as it is has the issue of Adult children becoming summons effective and while i will be using the next couple of hours trying to find a way around it i have to assume this is a limitation of the mod itself. Back in Oldrim i had Faites des bebes but theres nothing like that for AE.. Unless there is and you know about it, if so please help. I do this here because the skyrim modding community has spread out and i doubt anyone who relies on nexus would know of a obscure mod like what im looking for and where to find it.

Hi could i make a request? Could you make a stripped down version for the two player character monsters Werewolf and Vampire Lord?
