VotW Plugin - Vintage Nudie Films (VNF)

Updates:

**This is not currently working with VotW 2.0 - To save you the trouble of downloading these files, please know they are no longer supported. If you still have VotW version 1, you should be fine to use this plugin. Also I don't intend to update these files to work with 2.0, but anyone who would like, feel free to change the files. I don't require credit any longer.**

Each VNFRelease file is a little over 600mb compressed. In total, all files extracted are roughly 15gb.

If you already have an older VNFRelease installed, just download the new release and install it. Nothing needs to be overwritten or removed.

*Note: Each VNFRelease is standalone. You can download whichever one you want and it will work fine. I just want to clarify that each release is different footage so all VNFReleases should be downloaded to acquire all of the footage available.

Description:

Each VNFRelease plugin adds 8 holotapes that contain an accumulated 54 minutes and 32 seconds of vintage erotic footage. Each holotape contains 6 minutes and 49 seconds of content.

The footage is actually quite tasteful since there is no real pornographic material, however, there is full nudity.

Requirements:

The only requirement to make this plugin work is RazorWires - Videos of the Wasteland.

http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/24435/?

How to install:

Simply install the .7z file with Nexus Mod Manager (NMM)

or

Manually install the contents of the .7z file accordingly to the Fallout 4 directory. You should be able to copy the Data folder in the .7z file and paste it directly over the Data folder in the Fallout 4 directory and overwrite when prompted without any problems. Do so at your own risk.

How to use:

Currently I do not have the holotapes placed anywhere.

The only way to acquire the holotapes is through the console where you can use "help VNF 4" then use player.additem XXXXXXXX to add the holotapes to your inventory. Replace the X's with the ID's of the holotapes.

It would be more fun to have a patch that introduced these into leveled lists, to be picked up as loot. Make them rare, and you'd be on a winner.

As it is now, I won't even download this, since I'm not interested in getting stuff via console. But, I do like the idea.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll think about including this in the future. I think my focus at the moment will be making all of the footage available first and then implementing more lore-friendly ways of finding the holotapes.

I don't mind spawning items in via console code, kinda prefer it to leveled list integration, which has given me far to many cartoon holotapes already from the mod that integrates cartoons into the leveled lists, I prefer the method that places them in a container to replacing rare items in the leveled list

Hey everyone. Been a while but I'm back for a minute. Check out Z0mBieP00Nani's merged version of the ESP files. He added the ability to create the videos in a Chem Lab. Awesome!

Also,I'm working on a couple more files to add so look forward to that in the future.

Updating the merged file I made to work with the latest version of VoTW.

VNF - Merged.zip

the updated good old cartoons 1+2 and also the Starlight movie reels are working with VoTW 2.0 , which would suggest that I installed everything from the required mods correctly so far ...

but I cant get VNF to work with VoTW 2.0, even with your updated .esp , I can craft the tapes at the chemstation but no videoplayer will accept the VNF tapes anymore :frown:

This is not working for me. I download the files and install them in NMM and it says the files are missing VideoMaster.esm. Are they looking for VOTWMaster.esm and are just mislabeled (I have VOTWMaster.esm). I don't understand how I'm missing that file. I even re-installed FO4, thinking I had overwritten the file but as far as I can tell -it's nowhere to be found. Help, please.

Update: Installed old version VOTW 1.7 and took VideoMaster.esm from there. I used the uninstaller and installed version 2.0. It works halfway... I can build the Holotape Workbench but have no furniture/misc. VOTW section to build the players. Adding VideoMaster.esm allows me to call the VNF tapes using console command but cannot play them, they do not show up in the list of holotapes at vanilla terminals. I have Vault-tec workshop DLC, Automatron DLC, Hi-res DLC. I do have several mods but have gone through and turned them all off and still can't get it to work. So I don't think it's a mod conflict. I believe it to be a DLC conflict. Of course I am not a mod builder but after this I feel I've learned enough to start trying my hand at it so that's cool but I really want VNF's in my Fallout 4 game.

***Update***

Have nearly everything working. Have the menus for VOTW, can build players, tv's etc. But the players will not accept VNF tapes. Cannot store here. So bummed. Been trying for a while now to get this going...

I have tried and tried to figure out how to make this work and all of my efforts are failing. :frown:

Of course not...

That could mean that the ENTIRE mod (VNF) has to be redone then. They said they completely overhauled VoTW, so I'm not too shocked.

I thought that only a master file change was needed, but I guess not. Admittedly I hadn't tested the file before uploading it, I guess that was a bad idea.

Plugins for VotW are fairly easy to create. It just takes time and a little patience. The videos RazorWire has put up will lead you every step of the way. Start with video #2. You should be able to use the textures from VNF to create new videos for the projector and TV.

Is there any chance of these getting updated?? I tried installing them but in the mod manager it says they require Videomaster.esm but Videos of the wastelands esm is now called VotWMaster.esm. Alternatively is there a way I can change the name of the required .esm file myself somehow?
