Did anyone (in world) not take Doctor Manhattan seriously in his field because he didn't wear a lab coat or anything else?

 

To use real life examples, prize fighters,mixed martial artists and rebel warlords aren't undermined by their revealing attire in the slightest. Most people are more worried about those folks wearing their opponents' blood on their hands than stress over what they aren't wearing over their torsos or their arms and legs.

 

There is one major thing that these female characters are lacking that their similarly dressed male counterparts have--muscle. It is fantasy but it might help to sell it a bit better if they look as if they can dominate a man or as if they can fight off any unwanted advances without outside assistance and with minimal effort.

These gals don't look like they can make anyone change their minds let alone bring them to heel.

hmmmm... interesting thing about muscles. I have no idea how to add muscles (muscled women? egad) Could we just suspend reality and say that the sight of near naked female warriors aided in weakening their male opponents will to fight? hehehehe..... it's just fantasy and eye candy stuff. There is nothing that says that muscle can't be eyecandy. Millions of straight women and gay/bisexual men around the world can attest to that. It just makes for a much harder form of candy,more like a jawbreaker rather than chewy nougat.
